With the 11th pick, the Nashville Predators are proud to select, from the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, Nazem Kadri

Kadri's offensive instinct, poise and competitiveness will help us fill a need at centre for many years to come, and we feel he'll complete very well our young players.

Minny is on the clock. Pm'ed.

With the 12th pick, the Minnesota Wild are proud to select, from the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League, Ryan Ellis.

We are very thrilled to get Ellis, a very special puck-moving defenseman with remarkable vision and a cannon shot. Ryan is playing with an abundance of confidence, which in itself explains his success. His patience and ability to control the game stand out.

With the 13th selection in the 2009 entry draft the Buffalo Sabres are proud to select - from the Brandon Wheat Kings Scott Glennie.

" Glennie is a skilled forward with impressive speed and great playmaking abilities. He also has goal scorer's instincts and the flexibility to play both wing and center. He will be a valuable asset to our organization."

The Florida Panthers are happy to select with our first pick from the USHL's Chicago Steel, John Moore.

"we feel his size and skating skills are great and with conditioning his overall game will round out and he can be a 1 or 2 defenceman on our blue line for the long term"

Anaheim PM'd

First we would like to thank the Montreal Organisation for their hospitality and to congratulates them on their stanley cup.

With the 15th pick The Anaheim Ducks are proud to select from Leksand, Sweden...Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson

''We could not believe he was still available for us to recruit him, he's a player with endless amounts of potential, he was blessed with great hockey vision, amazing puck control and alot of mobility''

The steal of the draft, at this moment... We hesitated between Ellis and him.

By some scouting reports ive seen, he was 7th or 8th, Anaheim would need a RW or a LW more than a D at this moment but god damnit i couldnt let him go haha.

Will make my pick soon, my internet is just slow as hell... Kadri at 11th looks pretty darn good to me. I've never understood his low ranking at the final one. If he falls to the Habs, There's no way we should not pick that guy.

Columbus Blue Jackets are proud to select from Djurgarden Center, Jacob Josefson.

We are absolutely thrilled with what he brings at both end of the ice and his high skill level and IQ makes him a potential 1st line center.

First we would also like to thank the Montreal Organization for their hospitality and to congratulates them on their 25th Stanley Cup.

With the 17th pick St. Louis Blues are proud to select from the Peterborough Petes, Zack Kassian

We're excited about this kid. Kassian plays well at both ends of the ice and is utilized in all situations while not being afraid to mix things up physically.

''The Montreal Canadiens organization would first like to thank the 21273 fans in attendance for making this draft such a special event. We also would like to congratulate John Tavares on being the first overall pick in the 2009 draft and we hope he thrives with the Islanders, bringing them back to the top. Last but not least, we want to thank the 28 other teams in the league for having such kind words towards our organization and the city of Montreal in general.

Now, with the 18th overall pick in the 2009 draft, the Montreal Canadiens are proud to select, from the Guelph Storm, Peter Holland.''

''We feel that Peter has all the necessary tools to be a top center in this league and we are proud to let him become that player inside our organization.

Not only is Peter a player with great offensive upside, but he is also a leader on and off the ice, something that is always important to us when it comes to the guys we draft.

We were pleasantly surprised that Holland was still available when our turn came and we jumped on the opportunity of drafting not only the best player available, but also someone we feel is one of the most talented players in this draft.''

*Crowd boos because the Habs didn't draft a french-speaking player.*

''We also wanted to make it known that starting next year, Peter will take intensive french lessons to show his devotion to the Montreal fanbase.''

*Crowd roars in happiness.*
