What's the most entertaining excuse you've ever heard for a team losing? As a Pens fan, I've been hearing the "It's a fluke..." stuff a lot lately, but the best one I've ever read was jsut a few mnutes ago:

(And please, don't anyone accuse me of personal attacks or whatever. This is completely ON topic and, honestly, I could maybe even understand how Yoshi-dude feels. )
That's not an excuse, it's a fact. Colorado is a first place team. By a pretty decent margin. They don't need to win the game. Montreal is fighting for their playoff lives. They needed the game.
Fighting for our playoff lives ? We needed the game ? I suggest you take a look at the eastern conference seedings.

Yeah, he had a stretch last year where, in my mind, he went from rocket PP specialist who's trying to learn D, to an absolutely worthless pylon with a unusable cannon.

Saying the game meant nothing to you is ridiculous. The Avs are chasing the Wings and looking at the Canucks in the rear view mirror. Claiming you didn't "need" the victory is pathetic, you're only pissed off because you got beat by a team with half the talent, but double the heart of your Avs.
