This current streak is letting the guys know if they work their tails off like they've been doing the past month or so, the sky is the limit for what they can do. I don't want them to get to the point of being overconfident but I'm sure Roddy, Staal, Gleason, Ward etc aren't going to let that happen..

It seems like every game in the last few weeks I've felt has been the best game I've seen all year, and tonight was not an exception. Ruutu / Staal / Cole were dominant just about every shift they were on the ice, while Whitney / Jokinen / LaRose seem to have finally found chemistry together as they've had two straight games with beautiful plays between the three of them that have resulted in goals. Ward continues to play some of the best and most consistent hockey I've ever seen out of him.

It's been interesting to watch the evolution of Babchuk as the season has progressed. Early on, it seemed like he had very little passion for the team and the team responded with very little affection shown towards Babchuk. From there, his reception by the rest of the players continually warmed. Tonight, I think it hit it's climax as he was the center of attention in that postgame celebration.

No, they lost in OT and have 95 points with 4 games to play. We have 95 points with 3 games to play. Right now they're in 4th and us in 5th. Could all change of course. I said it earlier and I'll say it again. I want a 100 point season!

I said it before in this thread, but I'll say it again: this is the 2nd best regular season in franchise history.

I love watching the highlights on NHL.com after wins, but I was kind of let down just now. They decided to use Pittsburgh's feed for the highlights rather than Carolina's. Their announcer is so boring. Crosby gets a breakaway and it's "Oh...hey..look at this."

Heh, thankfully even most Pens fans I know can't stand Steigerwald. Then again they had one of the best in the business doing calls before their current crew so it's hard to blame them there.

Good game guys, and congrats on making the post-season! If I had the choice I'd have you guys leading the Southeast as opposed to the Washout Crapitals right now!

I'm so happy for the guys right now. Over this streak we have going, the team has played with a passion and intensity that we haven't seen since the Cup run. I'm proud to be a fan of the Canes, through the good and the bad

Yeah, even in 2002 when we went to SCF we finished the regular season at 91 points (to be fair, this season was pre-loser points). ESPN even showed our highlights. Of course, they talked mostly about Sid and how many sticks Tyler Kennedy broke, but they showed them and did announce that we won the game in the last few seconds.
