So out of his entire post, this is what you decide to comment on? Seriously? And what are you proving with your reply really? That Clarkson is in fact bigger than Avery? Because that's what it seems like.
Look, I saw something I wanted to elaborate on. This is a message board, yes? God forbid a Devils fan throws in some stats to help with the discussion. No need to get testy with your response. Yes, he is obviously bigger. I just felt like the post made him out to be some behemoth. JerseyRanger said he was much bigger, I didn't feel that was the case. Chill the F out man.

Yep, you nailed it. It has nothing to do whatsoever with the fact that I'm bored at work, like to discuss/argue/debate.
The fact is, I don't think Clarkson is that much bigger than Avery. I certainly wouldn't consider him a heavy weight. I didn't really dwell on the topic, just thew some information out there. I didn't mean anything by it.
I didn't think my post was anything startling, no need to attack it just because I'm a Devils fan. If you flip back a page, you'll see how I thought the talk of an Avery suspension or misconduct would be a joke. Is that a typical devils fan response? Get off you generalizations and grow up.
You brought up Colin White, which has nothing to do with the topic at hand. We're discussing Avery, and to a minor degree Clarkson. Did you feel my post directed towards Avery was somehow an attempt at a pissing match? And that i wanted to bring in NJ's players? It was not, but I'm glad you could take it there.
This is the heart of the matter Jersey. It doesn't matter what you or I think about Avery's actions. The League has made it explicitly clear that THEY have a bigger problem with loud mouths and grade-school antics than cheap shots.
Bettman can write off Kaleta's elbow as an unfortunate part of the game, but to have someone out there setting off brawls during a TV time out makes Gary look like he's unable to control a player who doesn't represent the league in the way he wants it represented. I'm not offended by Avery's actions whatsoever, but I can understand why the commissioner doesn't want these kind of events to be commonplace in the league. I'm surprised more people can't see it from that perspective, especially Avery.
