Kings @ Flames - 7:30pm MT (Sportsnet West/Fan960)

I haven't heard about any defensemen returning so i think we could see this lineup judging by last game...

*edit* looks like Aucoin is back... I woudl assume Negrin goes back to QC and Boyd is on his way back

Bertuzzi - Jokinen - Iginla
Cammalleri - Langkow - Lundmark
Glencross - Conroy - Moss
Nystrom - Boyd

Phaneuf - Leopold
Aucoin - Vandermeer
Pelech - Pardy

in net?... you would think McElhinney would get a chance but recent history has told us it will likely be Kiprusoff

2nd "home" game of the season. So excited and can't wait for tonight. Really hope Boyd is on his way up with Aucoin back in, but haven't heard anything yet. Need a big win tonight to give us some breathing room for the division.

I did want McElhinney to start, but these next two games are important and wins are needed so I'm expecting to see Kipper start the next two.

4-3 Flames

I think we may be looking at our last victory of the season tonight.

Man I hope I am wrong...

Anyways it should be good to see how the call-up preform at home.

Man I am excited to see the game tonight. Good to hear that Aucoin is back in. This is a big game. As others have said this would give the Flames some breathing room in their aspirations for the divison crown. Lets go boys.

No prediction as I am a curse when I make one.

Probably due to salary cap reasons and that it would be better for Boyd to get 15 to 20 minutes a game as oppose to 6 or 7.

Because not much has been said.

Kerr blog suggest he will be gone for some time and will not be back soon.

On CP the rumor is 4-6 weeks.

Either way do not expect him back this season IMO unless we make it to round 2.

Starting goalies for tonight, as per the Fan 960: Kiprusoff for the Flames, Ersberg for the Kings.

I expect a typical home win with a defensive game in the third period.
Flames must score 2 quick goals to kick out of town LA....

Let's have fun on the ice, the playoffs begins in one week.

Iggy, Glencross and Moss
Frolov for the kings.

Flames win 3-1.

Once again the Flames have their own destiny firmly in their CCM gloves. The Oilers and the Avalanche did them a huge favour this weekend, beating Vancouver in both games not only giving back the lead in the NorthWest Division, but also with a game in hand. With a win tonight and tomorrow in Vancouver our heroes can finally clinch up the pennant. Which, of course, has been the stated goal from day one. To me this is the most exciting this season has been as we are now down to the final week of regular season hockey. To know that these two games are so vitally important to the Flames makes me tingle with all sorts of anticipation and excitement. It should be that way for the boys themselves as well.

Now we come to the scary part. We are still without Regehr, Sarich, and Giordano on defence. Bourque is still questionable and as such we are fighting for the division with a seriously depleted team. Not that this should be an excuse. We still have a mighty powerful offensive squad with Iginla, Bertuzzi, Jokinen, and Cammalleri. Tonight they need to be scoring. And hitting. Time to buckle down and play the type of hockey that garnered forty four wins. Kipper also needs to be spectacular, especially with the injuries to the blue line.

Projected Line-ups
Bertuzzi-Jokinen-Iginla
Glencross-Conroy-Moss
Cammalleri-Langkow-Lundmark
Nystrom-???-Peters
Extra:

Defence Pairings:
Leopold-Pardy
Pelech-Aucoin
Vandermeer-Phaneuf
Extra:

A note on the lines, this is my best guess as the injuries and call ups/send downs are all over the place. I think this is pretty accurate, but please donít quote this as fact. Until the Flames do clinch the division, I expect that Kiprusoff will be starting.

Player to Watch
Olli Jokinen. He hasnít scored yet on home ice and poor Beezley is desperate to bellow out his name at the Dome. Well Beez, I expect you to make that call tonight.

The comdination of two Flames wins and one Vancouver loss clinches the NW. Ergo I hope they win tonight and tomorrow and rest Kipper and any injured players.

I hope to see decent special teams and some evidence of a PP.

I missed seeing the last game so I am eager to see how Pelech does. Great Aucoin is back but how long for Sarich and Regehr ?
