Kovalev was a beast offensively last year...but Markov was a beast at both ends of the rink. Again, I don't think people appreciate everything he does for the Habs...(wasn't referring to you specifically)
Well if he isn't first then he is close second (Markov). One thing impresses me with Markov is his constant progression and his will to improve his game year after year. Anyone else noticed he's much more disciplined and takes a lot less bad penalties this year for instance?
I love Markov but thats just silly. He's just barely been our best player for HALF a decade, and even then I'd say it's been 3 or 4 years
It's not like anyone was incredibly stellar in the first half of the decade, save Theodore's MVP year. Markov became our #1 D in 2002-03 and only had a slight hiccup in 2003-04 (but not a bad year, just a slight regression). I didn't say he was our best player in 2000-04, I said he was the best Hab we've had in the 2000s.
