I was actually at that game IN new york on a trip with school. What a terrible game. Souray got the record for PP goals as a defenceman though, which kinda helped. Watching the habs that day gave me such a headache.

ole ole ole is not a victory song like every retarded announcer says.

It is a song to get the team and fans pumped....which means they can do it with 10 minutes left, they can do it with 50 minutes left....it doesnt make a difference

Exactly.

The victory song is the goodbye song.

I think you are wrong, a win against the Rags or the Leafs and we were in, I remember like it was yesterday..

I was actually announcing that game in NY two years ago, and wrote the hockey almanac that year, and I can say you're all wrong.

It was the case for the Leafs game to end the season, but NOT the Rangers game. We needed to win and have the Islanders beat the Leafs to clinch.

Here's the GDT:

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=365714

''This is the night were we must clinch IMO.We need to win and hope for a Leafs loss.I really do not want this to be decided on Saturday''

''c'mon Habs and Isles! Let's work together to eliminate them Leafs. ''

''If we win tonight and Leafs lose I will go wild!''

''that game won't matter because we'll win tonight and Toronto will lose in regulation ''

''Dear Montreal Canadiens,

PLEASE win tonight and send some negative powers to the Leafs so we can clinch and Leafs fans can all be heart broken again.
''
