If Schneider plays again before the playoffs, I think this will officially be the most roller-coaster, soap opera ass season I can remember. And I'm getting old.

that was my guess, so we're equally intelligent, or stupid as we'll find out.

The thing about Schneider is, regardless of his shot he keeps the puck in the offensive zone during the PP. He's godly at doing this, I've seen few players who do it as well as him. This was helping our PP a lot. With Schneider still in and Markov only 3 weeks away, we can hold on till then hopefully.

I'm sure that, if we make the playoffs, Markov will be playing.

My guess:

- Doctor says - "you need to take a long rest", your season is over (info leaks to RDS).
- Schneider thinks - "What the heck, if I don't do well in the PO, this is probably my last season. There was a time when they played with fractured legs right ? And what is the worst that can happen to me if I keep playing - get a "career ending" injury ? LOL"
- Schneider says - "Doc, shoot me with your strongest painkillers, I'm doing it."

Sounds melodramatic but somehow possible.

The question I have is, outside of the "report" from RDS yesterday has anyone from the team actually confirmed it?

During the RDS broadcast they kept saying Gainey would address the injury issue after the game...Did anyone catch the post-game press conference?

Gainey did not confirm the reports in his post-game presser.

No...getting information out of the Montreal Canadiens is like trying to get the code for the vault at Fort Knox.

That's what I thought. I mean I would assume if the RDS report was true then Gainey would say so.

CKAC is basing this on the fact that he made the trip to New York. Doesn't Schneider live in NY? Maybe he's just going home.

Cripes this is weird. Yesterday RDS reported Schneider was out for the season. Today, CKAC and Pierre McGuire are reporting that Schneider may be in the line-up tonight. Hoping RDS got it wrong.

If it's true that he's ok (THANK GOD!). I hope we leave him to rest before the playoffs because that's where we need him

I can't wait after the season to do a big list of all the events that happened in this season.

There are only 2 things that can explain this:

1. RDS and CJAD's info was wrong, which is certainly possible. This year has been the year of the BS media reports. Both stations were pretty certain it was a shoulder injury, yet Martin McGuire is pretty convinced it's a rib injury.

2. Schneider has decided to play through the pain and see if he can tolerate it before deciding on surgery.

Well, their article is still up so if they had any inkling of doubt I'm sure they would take it down or edit it in some way.

I'm sure anybody would play hurt down the stretch and in the playoffs, but either way, it's tough to take considering how much better we have played lately.
