I just turned back to my monitor to see stoppage: Objects on ice. Only one thing that can mean.

Congrats Staal. 39 goals.

They are probably right. Someone needs to bring Cam a beach chair, burger and couple of beers. He looks too bored

Ummm, he'd probably say it exactly like that.

"Hey, hey, whaddya say? Roddy Brind'amour on the power play... and the captain gets his 16th on the year. The Carolina Hurricanes have hit the drive for five tonight!"

I'd think something along those lines.

We're outshooting the Islanders by 20+ shots. This game is just getting ugly for them.

Nice stats for Staal:

1 4-goal-game
3 3-goal-games

These are 13 goals in only 4 games. What a pace over an whole season.

I haven't seen us shell a team like this in a long time. Of course, it is the Islanders, but it's still nice to see the Canes flex their muscles.

******* Staal is a beast. 1 more to 40 baby! Just realized that Babs and Seids both at 29 points each. 1 or a piece and we have 4 defensemen with 30+ points. Quite impressive. Wonder the last time a team could boast that. Considering that B-S (Babchuk and Seidenberg) have both missed 10+ games this year, I think it's safe to say over the course of a full year, they would hit it.

Babchuk is at 30 now. He had 14g and 14a heading into tonight and has already picked up 2 assists

They've now given an assist to Seidenberg on Staal's second goal. Three assists tonight for him (they changed his goal to Helminen), which gives us four 30-point defensemen.

Would be nice to see Staal hit 40 tonight. One more won't matter anyways so I'd like to see Larose hit 20 as well.

Looks like the scorekeepers saw my post! So if I make a thread on the mainboard about this, you think it will get flamed?

Penguins are up 3-0 in Tampa.

If Florida fails to beat Flyers tonight, we can pretty much forget about 4th place. There is no way in the world Flyers will lose 2 games in remaining three with Islanders being one of them.

Without a doubt. No one gives a **** what we do and it's always the same idiots saying things aren't thread worthy.

Cole needs to stop getting assists and pot a few goals (2) to hit 20 goals and 40 points for the season. I wonder if Brindy can keep up his recent play if he can hit 20 this year? 4 goals in 2 games? C'mon Roddy!

They just showed stats.

Isles had 2 shots in 2nd period, but somehow they managed 3 scoring chances. How in the world is this possible?

They only have to lose 1 in regulation (assuming Carolina wins out). Any tie, Carolina takes. The Rangers might be still playing for a playoff spot when they play the Flyers too.

Canes haven't been on the PK all game.
