Scalpers Discount (When game is started)

I never did this but heard about it many times, i wanted to know how much it would cost me to get a ticket from a scalper in front of the booth after the game started? lets say 5-10 mins remaining in first?

And to make this thread a little bit more interesting, What was your best price for a ticket or a pair for those of you who already done that

Please share your anecdotes with me

5$ for a pre-season game in the 400 something bought around the end of the 1st period. Never actually tried during the regular season, but I guess scalpers do cut their price once the game is started. Better sell their tickets at cost / under cost than be stuck with them.

I tried this for the Kings game on the Saturday afternoon of Super Bowl weekend.

Puck had already dropped, scalper had about 10 tickets left and he was still asking for $200 per ticket...and let me tell you, they weren't the greatest of seats.

very often the scalpers still charge very high prices after the game has started.

sometimes they sell all of their tickets and therefore getting a ticket after the game starts is very hard.

I too am curious how this works. You can't refund tickets that aren't used, can you?

The scalper's might as well sell you the tix at half-off or something, to make up whatever amount they lost. Right?

IN 93, game 2 stanley cup finals, with about 10 mins left in the 3rd period I paid 20 $ for 2standing room tickets. Turns out the tickets we`re false but they let us in anyways.
Forum was overpacked and I could barely see the ice but just being there was amazing.
