Agreed.

Goaltending, defense, offense all were just not there.

But if I had to mention someone in particular...

Mike Komisarek, go back to playing like the Komisarek of old

I'm sorry, but you guys are the worst fans in sport. Three days ago everyone was thrilled. Many were hoping that the Panthers would been the Pens (which they did) because everyone was so sure we would cruise to 4th place, rather than assure a playoff spot.

Now, we lose our MVP and possible Norris Trophy candidate, as well as the reason our PP went from 16% to 28% in Schneider. Instead of looking at the reality of the situation, everyone now sucks. This one sucks, that one sucks. Defense is the one position you can't simply replace. You can have an injured goalie and even if he is a star, the back-up can shine (recall how we chased Gerber in the POs and turned Cam Ward into a Conn Smythe winner). Even a young forward can step up in the clutch and flower (i.e. Claude Lemieux scoring 10 goals during the '86 cup run, as a rookie). But you don't replace the likes of Lidstrom, Chara or Markov with an AHL'er and expect results. Whoever wrote that BG should have traded for J-Bo as back up for Markov has great rear-view 20-20 vision. BG should have known that Markov was going to get injured. Perhaps the Pens should have traded for Ovechkin as back-up for Crosby, since he may have a season ending injury during the last week of the season.

I have never seen such bandwagoning before in my life. If we beat the Bruins on Thursday, the same kids who want every player strung up will be writing

Kovy!!!!!

Saku is God!!

Price is his son!!

Either get in or get out. If you are so sure the Habs aren't making the POs or that they will get swept by whomever they face, don't you have something better to do? I hear the Blue
Jays are playing again. Go watch them.

The PP needed help, he got Schneider. The PP was on fire, Schneider is possibly done for the season.
He also got Tanguay, Tanguay was injured for a good chunk of the season.
Bob has done very well trying to fix our "holes' it's not his fault they have gotten injured. They were all great acquistions and helped the team a lot. This is not to mention the injuries to our regular players. For all the injuries we've sustained, it's a miricle we're in playoff position.
Pretty much sums it up.

I also hated the way in the last two games Ottawa and New York have learned how to check the first line.

This game was a carbon copy of the vintage Habs circa February 2009

Outshot, outplayed, outmuscled and no passion...

Bruins next...oh boy

I agree but Halak has been great all year, and Price just dont make me confident, i think that for the sake of the centennial we should go with Halak, at least we always know what we will have from him.

We are so much like the Sens last year. Everybody want to face us in the first round now.

It's nothing that could have been foreseen - these injuries I mean...and it's just stupid to blame Gainey for them.

But you hope that the players can adjust somehow. Yes, losing the team MVP is a gigantic blow, but it should not be a free pass for the rest to mail it in. The team's still in playoff position and hope is still there...

The irony of this season is that it all comes down to 1 point.....1 measly point.

Guys like Plekanec, A. Kost are not stepping up right now. No character whatsoever.

We just have to hope that we can squeek in and then maybe get out of the 1st round. Without Markov we can't win the cup but we might be able to get out of the first if we can play above our heads.

With Markov we can beat any team in the East when we're playing the way we normally do.

Who cares, thats not the point. The point was that he coulden't make the save in a game we were winning...right? I mean he gave up 3 goals on 25 shots right?

See, i'm not saying this to complain about Halak because I love the guy, just that people shoulden't jump on Price so easily..

But some are paid millions more than others to step it up in games like these.

My bad, I forgot that Saku's production is gravy... the real meat and potatoes is in his charity work.

Yes yes, we know how you feel about Koivu. He's been one of our strongest guys down the stretch but you only show up when he doesn't produce. Great, observant fan you are there.

Producing, to me, means more than getting a bunch of assists while riding the coattails of two more talented players. A goal would be nice, but no, he can keep his peewee level shot.

Do you really think we can get out the first round without Markov? We may play way above our head and still lose. Our defense is so weak now.
