Yannick Weber called up? Janik Back Down...

http://www.hamiltonbulldogs.com/stats

X indicates players not on active roster

Weber has an X next to his name, like Dago, O'Byrne and etc...

could it mean he is coming up? maybe we will hear something today or tomorrow

Weber Called Up Janik Sent Down

It's on the AHL transaction page, Weber has been recalled and Janik sent down. I will move this to the thread that covered this in a bit, just wanted to make sure everyone saw it.

I'm surprised they called up Weber since we need LD's, but I figured he would be the one over Carle, as Weber has been much better imo. Good luck to Weber, we clearly need some help moving the puck.

I'm happy and excited to see Weber

but

I hope this doesn't mean what I think it does.

I'm not surprised after seeing the look Gainey gave Janik when he got his penalty. If looks could kill....

Hopefully Weber is able to at least make a pass to a forward from the point or get a shot through to the net. Absolutely dismal play from the point-men on the PP in the last two.

he has one hell of a shot, he seemed a bit stressed when he came up the first time, but that's normal, once he settles down, with a few chances he can chip in i think

Should have been done prior to the Ottawa game IMO. Gainey said yesterday they gave everything to win against Ottawa, a PP specialist could have made the difference.

I dont know if hes ready or not but he was dominant during trainning camp on the PP. I think he scored like 3 games in a row.

Poor Janik, apparently a lot of his friends and family were excited for the game tomorrow night.

Aside from the bad penalty, he played some solid hockey. If he was interested, I'd have no problem offering him a contract at $500K to be the #7 defenseman next year.

that's it...

I'm sort of superstitious and didn't want to say that. It's ok if someone else does though. I live in a bubble.

I agree. We were still riding that confidence boost then and I thought we should have won that game. That was the game to win because now we're in serious trouble.

We have, in essence, four games left (2 for Montreal, 2 for Florida). In those four games, we need just ONE *positive* result. Whether that's a win for us, an OT loss for us, or any kind of loss for Florida.. we're in. I think we should be okay.

Props to Baseball Coach, his source had this nailed all the way through.

Weber should have been up to begin with as soon as both went down...gosh, those PP's Monday could turn out to be the difference...

The future is now, Weber gets his chance to show what he can do and gets a chance to put a hold on a roster spot for next year.

That's an interesting way to put it and that should make people feel a little better. I personally think Pittsburgh is our best bet because they could be resting some players (like Crosby).
