2nd season - say what we will - but this is a dangerous team if they play the way they played tonight - could be very interesting

They will probably still trade his rights before he becomes a UFA.

Well playoffs here we come!--and that was the Henrik show the last two periods. I don't think we have to worry about him holding up his end. Boston or Washington it looks like. Chara or Ovechkin. I'm not sure we match up great with either but as the cliche goes--you got to play one game at a time.

Was that not the biggest feeling of joy/relief when the final horn sounded?

I feel the same, we may not score much against them, but neither do they.

Nice to see an orginal 6 matchup too. I can't remember last time we had one of those.

Yes but thank god they're finally off our backs. The only thing that would make this season sweeter for me, is for Lundqvist to break his season high record in wins, and get number 38. Then again, he may not even play now.

Congrats and a job well done by John Tortorella. Thanks for "righting the ship." But I think this year. The first round of the playoffs will be a lot harder than the previous 3. Well the Devils killed us. I expected that. The team seemed beat up and then Jagr got injured. I thought, with the added leadership of Shannahan, that Atlanta was highly beatable. And we beat them as bad as the Devils beat us the year before. I thought the Devils series would go 6 or 7 and that the Rangers had a chance to beat them. They did. This year though, if we have to face the Bruins in the first round especially. I don't feel so confident. They are such a terrific defensive team and with Thomas in net, I'd rather face the Capitals.

If you listened closely (had the volume up) you could hear the audio of the three stars but I agree I don't know why they didn't show it.

Yeah, Lecavelier and St Louis got no ice time when Tampa won the cup.

Oh holy god, please stop bringing up Lecavalier.

It's like Sather living on past laurels. He drafted Gretzky so he gets a free pass for life.

Simple fact is Torts has been mishandling Zherdev since day one of his arrival.

Or maybe he wanted his most defensively responsible players out there with the game, season and playoffs on the line?...

Zherdev and Naslund have been worse. EVERYONE else has been better. I'll take the trade.
