Easy to say ''suck it up'' when we DON'T know what he has.

Also, let's say we were to win without him tonight, or Florida lost. That would insure us a PO spot and we wouldn't be forced to dress Markov for the last game. That would buy him some time to rest before a PO comeback.

I think it's the right move. If we lose and FLA wins, then I'm sure he'll be dressed vs PIT. If he isn't then it's because he has an important injury.

Even if he doesn't play much it will give his teammates a boost.

Pretty gutsy, hopefully not foolish.

He can't worsen his injury.

We have a much better chance in winning this game with Laraque out of the line-up.
Great move by Gainey!
Tells me that we are there to play hockey and not to goon it up.

GO HABS GO!

If i might add a bit from the medical perspective.

Talked about this with one of the docs I work with today.

He said it would be very odd to tear a rotator cuff the way Schneider did. Normally that is a wear and tear injury, but if in fact that is what he has, then really his big issue is pain.

Schneider is just about done his NHL career.

There's not much to risk anymore. His big thing will be PAIN and FUNCTION.

If he can manage the pain, then he's ok to go really. He's not gonna damage much more than it is.

But the FUNCTION especially for a guy who's known as a shooter is a big deal. Chances are his shoulder isn't working well enough to get anything on a shot right now. Putting his arm up over his head would probably feel like hell. And the power just won't be there.

But in our zone he might be ok, and better than what we've got over the last few games.

Markov would have trouble skating... you can't play with that. It's not a "suck it up" issue of pain... it's a mobility issue where his knee doesn't function well enough, to the point he'd be a total liability.

But hat's off to Schneider.... he's a warrior.

Another great job by some of the infamous local mediots who jumped the gun earlier in the week. Yet these clowns blame their super gaffes on our GM for not giving them more details in the first place.

It's almost as if these bozos are in a competition against each other to see who can make the biggest fool of themself!! I guess there's no shortage of crow to go around for supper.

It's because so few of them are actually journalists. They throw out their opinions as facts. So few of them bother to do their homework.

I figure that this is his last season and he does not want to go out on an injury. Talk about hockey pride. He should be a big presence in the locker room tonight.... Plaung hurt and for the team...

If Schneider is playing and Laraque & Stewart are not, Gainey is WAY more disconnected than I ever tought. WTF is wrong with this GM ?! Honsetly he's way less credible than Kim Jung Il himself. He dosent stop lying to its fans and journalists, is that a way to act ? Hell no. He's a total shame for this organisation.

By chance its the Bruins, so we have a little more than 50% chance to win tohignt anyway.

the thing is if they try to take Schneider out the team will get pissed and do all they can to beat the crap out of boston. The one thing team mates respect is a guy playing hurt ,and they will back him up.

Schneider just said he was 100% and everything was great during the intermission on RDS and that he's been Day to day since the injury.. I smell a cover-up. If you ask me it's a rib... But that's my opinion...
