Coach Pete DeBoer gave the team the day off Wednesday, and hasn’t decided which goalie will start Thursday against the Thrashers. - Miami Herald

Hedberg will be between the pipes for Atlanta.

Good news is he's got more wins than losses this year, and he beat the panthers once already, while Lehtonen lost both his contests.

Sounds good, I just went on the Panthers board. Some of the posters there are saying that Vokoun is probably starting for the Panthers.

Wishing for Florida to lose in order to make the playoffs, who would've thought?

Not me,i want them to win and see what this team is made of.If we cannot win and get in then we don't deserve to be there in the 1st place!

I can't help but like the Panthers for some strange reason. I always liked underdogs mostly. The Habs have their fate in their control, I don't think it's very meaningful to root for the Panthers to lose for the Habs to clinch their spot. Would be great if the Rangers went out of the playoffs, actually!

Is it wrong I still kind of want Florida to win? I'd still rather them in the playoffs than the Rangers..

If Florida's going to catch anyone, it's probably going to be Montreal so I think yeah, it's kinda wrong.

I expect a big win from our guys tonight. Kovy with 2 goals, my boy Bogosian with a pair of assists

Who's in net tonight?

Yes it is.

Even though I don't want the Rags in the playoffs either.

Seriously? I'm a Habs fan through and through. Ask anyone.

I've been the one to create positive threads after heartbreaking losses, I'm the one that looks up stats constantly to back up my posts, I'm the one who always, without a shadow of doubt, believe in our team.

Why do you think that? You don't think that Montreal can win tonight and clinch anyway? We are playing a Boston club who will probably play a bit safe (to avoid injury) and has already clinched everything. Plus, we still have another game after that.

The Rangers, on the other hand, have a lot tougher of a schedule. They play the Flyers twice, who are going to be trying their hardest to secure home ice advantage. Carolina owns the tie-breaker on them right now, so they are going to have to win-out (or post 5 out of 6 points) to maintain home ice advantage. I think the Rangers drop the next two games.

Well first of all, I've always cheered for the underdog outside my team. And seriously, the Panthers are a huge underdog and they need the playoffs, financially as well.

Plus, if it came down to it (small chance), I'd feel more comfortable playing the Panthers rather than the Rangers, for the simple fact that their goaltending situation is in as much shackles as ours. Running into Lundqvist into the ECF would not be ideal.

i think the Thrashers can pull it off, but Florida is going to be going balls to the wall. They'll be treating this like a playoff game.

I was just kidding. I actually think you're one of the better posters here so don't be upset.

...but you're still "trolling" the Atlanta GDT thread with all your pro-Florida madness!

The Thrashers better win unless they want to give us a 3rd rounder in this years draft.
