Lucie: Suspension?

What do you guys think about Lucie's BS slash on the back of Komo's leg? Suspension worthy? It was clearly intentional.

Who cares. I love the fact he's from Vancouver but let him Bertuzzi someone and end up a disgrace in the league.

I find it amusing that Lucie and the Bruins still get oh so worked up over Komi even though they have pretty much owned us this year. Its like they all collectively hate his guts for some reason. Even when they win, Komi still finds new and creative ways to make their life harder. Its good though, if it wasn't for all that stuff we probably wouldn't have made it to OT tonight.

This isn't tennis ... I seem to recall Kovalev slashing one of our players earlier this year in retalliation for a noncall.

It's hockey for cripes sakes. Suspension for slashing? lolz. Please.

Except... it wasn't at all the same situation... not even close...

Lucic wasn't in the right on this one, but he won't be suspended and wasn't intending to injure Komisarek. He was trying to get Komisarek to deal with him (again) instead of moving on to another guy to start with.

All he has to do is either answer the bell or stop instigating fights. Right now he's no better than Steve Ott to Bruins fans. But not as bad as Sean Avery and not even close to Ulf.

I'm sorry but skating 10-15 metres towards the player and slashing him in the leg isn't legitimate retaliation. I wasn't referring to Kovy or any other player. I don't condone it at all for anyone. I was just asking a simple question.

I want to see the "takedown" first, because I missed it. Bruins fans were crying for a suspension for that love tap on TT's mask. I wonder what their opinion of "bulldog"-ing is. Again, I want to see the video of that before I actually offer an opinion.

I love Lucic as a player when I watched him during the Memorial Cup and the Super Series. He threw good but showed skill. This year, he's been resorting to cheap shots, ones that are potentially very dangerous. I mean....do you think he wants to end up like Bertuzzi? I hope not. But we'll see.....

To be honest, I'm scared for him. I don't know if he can restrain himself.

Yeah, a suspension for a slash...

This is such a joke...

You guys are in the playoffs, lost in OT, hope to see you again next time...enough already.

May the best team win in the playoffs.

I don't really recall slashing being "hockey". Weren't you guys calling for a suspension on Begin for a little crosschecking in the back of Savard. But you know, it's hockey for cripes sakes. Pot calling the kettle black

I'm not sure how much of Lucic you've watched, but I can count the number of "cheap plays" he's made in his career on one hand. Besides this (cheap, but not dirty and definitely not dangerous) takedown I think he's had one dirty hit on Walker.

The hit on Kovalev wasn't dirty because it was a good distance from the boards, Kovalev knew contact was coming, and Lucic did his best to hit him from the shoulder and not from behind. Did he succeed? No, but this wasn't an intent to injure.

To be honest, I would like habs fans to stop using "Lucie" and "She" when clearly that guy is way stronger and more viril than the majority of our players...

Seriously, Begin does that - we're whiners.

Koivu carves a gash in Wards throat - we're whiners.

Big mean Lucic slashes a guy in the leg - he should be suspended.

go back to your zoo. I'd be the first one to admit it was a dirty play but it was a random play that happens all the time in hockey?

Accident or not when the tip of your stick cuts a player, what else would you call it?

Actually I've never seen anyone get their throat cut by a stick. Then again I've only been watching the NHL since 1979 or so.

Good point.

That was probably the reason the bone was broken - not the cross check.

You're good at this.
