Schneider no question.. Hamrlik? I think he really deserves to be rested..

I would rest the first line and call Maxwell or Desharnais from Hamilton.. Play Stewart and Laraque of course..

thoughts?

Scratch Hamrlik, play Laraque/Stewart/Brisebois

Thats about it.. The 2nd still needs more chemistry.. the other players need to work on some stuff.... We still want 7th dont we?

We can have as many guys as we want on our roster after the deadline...

The question is do we want to rest guys and basically ''punt'' that game?

Not exactly. I would prefer going for a win and playing the Caps.

Are you serious rest some guys....this team needs to go into the playoffs on a winning streak and trust me nobody has earned any time off.... squeaking into the playoffs isnt anything to write home about and I really think they have a better chance against Washington then Boston......

I have always thought we had a chance against the Caps because of Theo, but Thomas gave me hope tonight.

It will be interesting to see how Pittsburgh treats the game. Carolina plays on Saturday afternoon and if they win then Pittsburgh doesn't have a chance at home ice advantage. If that happens then I don't think they'll play too hard on Saturday as there isn't much difference between finishing 5th or 6th. If Carolina loses then I think Pittsburgh will take a real run at getting home ice. Philadelphia also plays on Saturday and if they lose then Pittsburgh could clinch home ice in the first round and I imagine they will go all out.

I don't see the point in playing Koivu or Schneider on Saturday.

He was never favored in the 1st round. Lets see how he will respond to being the favorite for once.

No, I'd rather play the Caps. Plus, we need some momentum heading into the playoffs.

Bob Gainey will assess and do the right thing.

No fanboyism here... just that he knows more about the NHL playoffs from the inside than most could ever hope to.

Congrats Dago

In pro sports, you do not rest players the last game of the season before the playoffs. You put them on a low before they need to pick their game up. Not worth the risk if we only play 4 games in the first round.

The Habs will want 7th, they need it IMO. Boston is going to be extremely well rested, while the Caps will be rather tired from battling the Devs for 2nd.

But is also 0-4 in 2nd round. Let's beat Boston and play Caps in the 2nd round

I'd rather leave our lines alone and let them build a little bit more chemistry. I don't care who we face but it would be nice to carry even a tiny bit of momentum into the playoffs.

or we could play all our players and have a better chance at winning and not have to face the boston powerhouse in the first round.

Rest all the walking wounded. Hamrlik should probably take a seat. He has a big job ahead of him. I would rest Tanguay and Komisarek too maybe to keep them healthy.

Maybe bring a chair for Gainey too so he doesn't have to stand up all game.

I would go all out to beat the Penguibs. The Habs could avoid playing the Bruins if the Flyers also defeat the Rangers.

Exactly. No need to call anyone. We have 3-4 players in the stands each nite.

I really hope a win against Pittsburg, just to have the feeling that the Habs did not get to the playoffs thru the back door.

We lost 3 games this week. Enough !

Im not a fan of scratching the whole team, but Hammer definitely needs some rest. He should rest up for the playoffs
