I replay Vish with Nisky.

Nisky is up for grabs for you folks. Go Vish Go.

Playoff team if they called him up earlier.

7th D on the PP = Dallas wins games

Him playing so well just pisses me off. They should have tried this sooner. The Fing PP has been losing this team games all season. They knew they had a guy in the AHL with the skill to run a PP, but they were scared of his defense and terrified of benching Fing Krys Barch.

Vish just feels right, ya know?

Nisky needs to pimp out another car to sway me back.

The IV is definitely getting a jersey in the stands next season.

I think we all knew that this kid would be good offensively, more surprising is I haven't seen a huge flub defensively, that one-on-one with Giliardi (I think?) was close but this kid is great. It's freaking stupid we didn't bring him up, he really could have saved our season on special teams.

Also, he has a ****ing rocket.

From all the comments I take it that Vish can run a PP efficiently. He better get use to it because he'll be doing it full-time next season... I hope.

I thought he had a very good game tonight. Its only 2 games, but i like what he's done so far. He seemed more comfortable out there tonight and was making plays. Wow he has a quick wrist shot and a nice slap shot!

I've seen him be a whiz with the puck before and have never doubted his offensive ability, but he's holding his own in the defensive zone too, which at this point is a surprise to me. Now, if only he could clear the air of all this smoke around Dallas, then he'd be awesome.

so if they play him next year and Zubov re-signs for 1 year, should dallas steer clear of D men in free agency??

next years d men (pairings mixed)

Zubov-Niskanen
fistric/robidas-Grossman
Daley-Vishnevskiy

leaving Robidas or fistric spare...should we trade robidas before the draft and try to fish another second or 3rd rounder, then look for a 7th experienced cheap d man in free agency..(like say a havelid or Gill)

or just go with that 7 for 09/10...hmmm decisions, decisions

Unless he (vish) fires early im tipping he will get what fistric got this year and play half NHL half in the minors

I question whether Tippett would have been willing to give him ice time on the PP over Robidas or Sydor.

The thing about Vishnevskiy is we're all looking at it in retrospect. Maybe the full year in the AHL is why he seems so comfortable now, and if they'd pulled him up earlier, it wouldn't have gone nearly as well.

Also, with the Stars having nothing to play for at this point, which makes it easier for young guys to come in. There's no pressure at this point.

I think he will be a good defensemen in the future and is bordering on being a raw but consistently-NHL-ready defenseman now. But to say he would have made the difference had he been brought up earlier is a wee bit much.

As far as this off-season, I think the point of signing a No. 1 defenseman isn't so much for next season as it is to have that next guy in already with the team when Zubov retires, be it late this fall or after next season. Vishnevskiy being ready certainly gives them another option (though I remain concerned about the sheer number of young guys on defense - I still think you'd ideally have a mix between veteran, prime and young, and the Stars are way skewed towards young even without Vishnevskiy), but I think a true No. 1 type guy still needs to at least be considered in the off-season.

Happy to see him getting some success into nhl level. He was just great for a while in the juniors, had a bitter end in the playoffs after he had to miss a good part of the season because of injuries

when confident he plays very well and has en energic presence on all his team mates, he was very good offensively but he wasn't that great on one timer slap shots..reading comments here it sounds like he improved that part of his game

but overall I really hope he pans out because he is a fun player to watch

Hey Stars fans, I am intrigued with Vishnevskiy but haven't seen as much of him as I would like. From what I understand the kid has real nice skills. If you had to compare his game to an established NHL player, who would it be? I've heard Lubomir Visnovsky.

Well, yes, that would be most fitting, I imagine.

I think it'd be hilarious if Dallas somehow acquired Visnovsky, hearing PBP guys trying to figure out who was who on a PP.

Epic. LOL.

I thought it was pretty funny this year when Columbus's Mason and St. Louis's Mason played each other, especially for someone listening on radio and tuning in late. "Save by Mason...back the other way...Save by Mason!"
