Mike Boone about Tim THomas (Funny)

This one really made me laugh this morning -

Number of playoff series Tim Thomas has won = Number of Sports Illustrated swimsuit models Boone has dated

Threads like this are wonderful to bait Bruins posters and nab them for trolling.

The number of playoff series won by Carey Price = the number of good movies made by Brendan Fraser (School Ties)

Sorry, I couldn't resist. He's going to be a stud just having an off year. Timmy is a late bloomer. So was Hasek. He's only played on one really good team (this year).

Bedazzled was actually pretty funny.

Regardless if the Bruins and Habs face each other I see the wheels falling off for Thomas for sure. He is too erratic and not in a Hasek way. I respect the guy and all he has done this year, I think he will win the Vezina but he is a product of the Bruins team and system. He is not talented enough to be a difference maker in the playoffs imo.

Are you trying to claim Airheads was a bad movie?

I've never heard of a worse example of trolling. Brendan Fraser is a Canadian film legend, damnit!

Tim Thomas isn't an actor, though.

It's not funny, and although I try not to read Habs/Bruins threads due to the awesomeness in each fan-base it brings out, Ruzicka38 sounds like he's being pretty nice, no need to be jerks. Karma too, there's always a lot of firsts for different players in the playoffs, it's not like Thomas has that stat because he sucks, he's only been in the playoffs once I believe.

What's funnier though, for pure reaction purposes, is telling Canucks fans that Price has won as many playoff rounds as Luongo.

I don't like ragging on Thomas. He seems like a great guy and I am glad he's doing well now. even if he's a *shudder... Bruin.

When has Thomas been put into a position to win a playoff series?

8th place Bruins vs. 1st place Habs?

That's exactly Boone's point; Thomas has next to no playoff experience.

Well, 8th place Habs took 1st place Bruins once this decade, so what kind of excuse is that?

you guys seem to forget about a certain Cam Ward, that eliminated montreal and won the cup.... with zero experience, aswell.
dont count Boston out until Game 4 is won. (if both teams meet ...hehe)

I like Thomas and Savard. I wanted both of them in Hab sweaters. I don't think Boston has ever treated Thomas fairly. He should have been the starter after Raycroft blew it and they went and signed Fernandez. Fernandez flopped and Thomas proved once again he deserved that starter position. Boston finally does the right thing and re-signs him, and Boston fans get pissed because they think Tukka Rask should be the starter next season.

As for Savard, he reminds me so much of Adam Oates and I felt that way back when he just left Atlanta. Everyone was claiming his performance was all Ilya Kovalchuk, just like how Blues fans said it was all Brett Hull. Marc Savard has proven he is a franchise centerman, and even though he'd just be "another small center" on Montreal, Koivu/Savard would have been down the middle.

That said, both men chose to wear the B. In other words, they chose failure. When was the last time the Bruins seen the second round? Hell, even the Leafs have seen the second round since '94!

Nobody is saying he has no experience. He had lots of experience last season, with a record of 3-4.

With Raycroft in net.

I'm just saying that there seems to this feeling going around that Thomas is a playoff choker. Thats all.

Looking forward to next Thursday. I hope we play the Habs, always an epic series.

Thomas has had a very good season...can he carry it over into the playoffs? Who knows, let's hope not...but the B's are a better team this year than last...

I wouldn't.

I don't know if you've realized, but Montreal vs. Boston is like the Stanley Cup Finals. There is nothing left in either team after Game Seven (not that Boston has seen the other side of a game seven since '94, but yeah).

If you want the Cup, you do not want to play Montreal, even if you think you can beat them.

I was just joking about 02, but that is your paranoia, people are just saying he hasn't won a round yet, nobody in this thread has stated he sucks and is a choker, one guy said he can see him falling apart, big deal.

You shouldn't worry so much about it anyway, the ice is where it happens, all this talk is inconsequential. It's so HFBoards to get defensive about your team for a minor opinion from some minor poster, again, big deal, as a Bruins fan you have a lot to be happy and optimistic about.
