The Avs have four prospects in this game, the most of any NHL team.

Miami:

#16 Justin Mercier

Boston University:

#25 Colby Cohen
#3 Kevin Shattenkirk
#18 Brandon Yip

The last time BU won the Frozen Four they were led by some guy named Chris Drury. You guys may have heard of him

This is Miami's first Frozen Four and first championship game.

Should be a great game. The Avs are well represented as well.

Also most likely Yip's and Mercier's last college game.

They are both seniors so this would be their last game.

Ah, I thought Mercier had a year left. I knew it was Yips last game.

Sorry for the ignorance, but can anyone tell me what the numbers of significant players (IE Gilroy) are?

My bad, I missed that post.

On avg. how many mins. does Shattenkirk play per game? Is it just me or is he not getting that much ice time?

He gets his fair share and he is on the first PP unit. You gotta understand, it's a deep defensive unit. Almost all the defensemen have been drafted and the other, Gilroy is expected to sign a NHL contract in the coming days. With Gilroy gone, he'll be the man next year on the blueline.

Probably like 20. He's not on the top defense pair, but he gets time in all situations.

Yeah, Gilroy leaving this year will give Shattenkirk more ice time next year.

Jori, who else from BU's defence is leaving this year besides Gilroy?

Gilroy is the only senior on the blueline, but it's possible the Pens could sign Strait this summer.

I blame that goal on Cowen. He left his man who ended up scoring.
