Hiller of 09 is starting to look like Giguere of 03. It's scary. I know they didn't go all the way that year but I'll have a hard enough time accepting that they managed to get that far this year.

Thorton is such a choker in the playoffs, he was invisible. Setoguchi was getting pushed around like a rag doll. Clowe on the other hand, man what a beast that guy is.

I can't actually root for the Ducks, but watching San Jose suffer from the same wuss Blake we got last year was magnificient! That sequence that ended with him taking a holding call was priceless.

Step 1: Make a lame excuse for a pass.
Step 2: Recover puck.
Step 3: Whiff a wuss shot wide.
Step 4: Lazily skate back on D, even though an opponent is streaking by you.
Step 5: Take a penalty.

How many times did we see THAT last season?

On the Ducks side, I really think the NHL needs to treat Bobby Ryan with almost the same amount of hype and press they do Sidney Crosby. I am so jealous the stupid Ducks have him, though I hate to admit it. And he's American to boot! The NHL would do well to market an All American looking kid like Ryan to the states.

Hayward was hilarious. Though he got the Cheechoo call right, he was seeing phantom things all night. It was a poorly officiated game, but I didn't think it was all that biased.

Really I'm just dissappointed San Jose didn't make a better game of it after Cheechoo's goal. What choke artists.

I wouldnt say so.

Hiller is looking not as good as his stats indicate, he's getting lucky out there, and the Sharks are looking flat out horrible

the sharks have hit more than their share of posts, but hiller is still playing very well. he came up with plenty of big saves, tonight even more than in game 1.

Hopefully the Ducks bring out the brooms, so that this battle of NorCal vs. SoCal is a bust, and the Kings can come in and have a real series next year. Not that I'll be thrilled with the Ducks winning, but hey I guess someone has to win the series. Whenever its two teams I don't like I just hope that it ends quickly.

The Sharks need to get back to what brought them here....where are the young guys that played well during the season? Where is the balanced ice time?

Plihal has not played, and neither has Kaspar (although he didn't play very much.) I know you want a vet presence like Lemieux and Roenick out there...but give these young guys a shot that helped you get here.

In game 1 especially, he severely mismanaged his ice time among his forwards. Grier, Lemieux, Shelley, Roenick in game 1, Goc in game 2....these guys hardly played, and his top forwards were sucking wind at the end of both games.

He still has to remember to roll out a balanced line-up. Rookie coach mistakes. At least get Plihal back in there.

Boy was that a horribly coached game by McLellan or whatever Lenin or Stalin or whoever he is.

I couldn't believe that Roenick was out there for 3 or 4 shifts in the last 3 and a half minutes! Thorton is a choker, but JR is dragging him down.

But you are right, Ducks won on a goal by Drew Miller. If that is a sign to San Jose to play their role players more at the end of the game I don't know what is. I mean, the only reason you have a geezerly Claude Lemiuex in your lineup is so he can play those last 5 minutes because THAT guy is as clutch as they come when it comes to role players.

Stupidly coached game. Also not using his timeout at any point was lame. You could tell San Jose was off their game, throwing the body and not doing much else. Boyle was the only one who looked to have any confidence carrying the puck, but with no support that confidence quickly crumbled.

Hiller was solid, but nothing so spectular, because San Jose missed the net on most of their best scoring chances.

I was so satisfied with the outcome but so disappointed by how it got there.

NO, but the chum may get swept by the birds, and that is just as sweet.

Loved watching the Flames - hawks game tonight. Game 4 may be BLOOD BATH if the teams pick up where they left off.

Things you thought you'd never say in a playoff game: Jokkinnen was a force, even if he didn't score a goal.

No bloodbath this year. Too many zebras interference.

you underestimate the momentum that would give the ducks after taking out the presidents trophy team, that is exactly what you DON'T want to happen. i'd be much more comfortable with the sharks taking out the ducks and then doing their notorious choke job in the second round.

the ducks sweep and i don't know if i can watch the rest of the playoffs from that side.

I dont believe the birds are nearly good enough to get past the hot wings this year.

I don't think they get past the Canucks, Blackhawks or Flames either if it comes to that.

But yeah, Detroit should win a series with the Ducks if Osgood doesn't implode.

GG, it's not even the "official offseason" yet and I'm so bored with the Kings not playing. Serious withdrawls already in April.

Go Caps & Bruins!

I really hope Pittsburgh blows this lead.

I can't believe I'm about to say this.......

I'm kind of excited for the Sharks/Ducks game.

Wow, this Canes vs. Devils game is amazing. By far the best game of the playoffs so far.

OMG! Canes won within the last second of the game! AMAZING!

No kidding! I've never seen a goal scored with 0.02 seconds left in the game, to win the game....amazing!

Well so much for a sweep.

I actually prefer it this way. Let them beat the living hell out of eachother for as long as possible. Imagine a beaten and tired Ducks team against a week rested Wings team. No contest.

Good games today overall. Poor St. Louis.

I'm happy, but man, the crowd was nuts. Picking on a 21 year old kid when the entire team was playing like ****. Not cool.

Boston looks really good, though. They're firing on all cylinders, even if the Habs weren't much of a test at all.
