Countdown to Markov thread

5 more days for him to heal, 5 days until the puck drops.

Sunday (today)
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday

That's not too bad

I am optimistic, as it will have made a grand total of 12 days since his April 5th injury, which is starting to be a decent amount of time.

BTW, there is no way the Habs lose their final 4 games with with Mr. Smooth in the line-up.

Damn you, Grabovsky

This team needs Markov back for the first game. I really don't think we have a chance without him.

maybe thats why gainey wanted the bruins?

with no markov to guard ovechkin, we are better off playing the bruins since they do not have a superstar like him.

Rumblings Markov could be back

""The club has been secretive about Markov's injury, although there are rumblings that he may return for the start of the playoffs after it was first feared he would be out at least three weeks.""

If Markov misses the whole series, I think we're going to need Carey Price to flick a mental switch and steal a series. That probably isn't going to happen.

I do think we can "stay alive" and be in a good position though with Weber for a couple games.

Not a chance Markov will miss more than 2 games in this series....

Imagine the moral boost if we steal game 1 or 2 and after that THE GENERAL steps in with a full red beard......on the bell center ice.....

Epic scenario.....

the habs havent disclosed any timeline for markov, and thats the way its going to be for the rest of the season under Gainey's empire.

We can only look at the markov situation to be a d2d type deal.

The parallels with the Sens of last year continue. Alfie gets hit by Mark Bell in the last or second last game of the regular season and completely tears his MCL and is done for the season... Almost, comes back in game 3 but for obvious reasons is pretty ineffective and the Sens lose out in 4 straight.

Now your best player goes down but luckily for the Habs, you're playing the one team you more or less own in the post season. Here's top hoping your best gets to go up their best and we get to see a great hockey series.

I like the imagery.

Like a fearsome, red-bearded Cossack warrior... oozing controlled hatred and disdain for the yellow and black enemy.

When he looks a Bruin in the face he only sees that of Mikael Grabovsky
