Where to watch Hockey in Las Vegas???

I will be in Las Vegas for the first couple of Canucks games... does anyone know of a good place to watch playoff hockey? I really want a place that has SOUND because I know there are a ton of places to watch it in the corner of some sports bar.

However, I want to see it on a big screen with sound, and preferably some fellow hockey fans. Anyone know?

I watched regular season games (on a 120 inch HD TV no less) at the ESPN zone in Vegas, so I assume the playoff games will be televised there as well.

Any sports book will have them going as well... i prefer Caesar's Palace and MGM grand over the other larger casinos.

Sure... but will they actually be playing sound?

I saw some hockey at the Belagio before but there was no sound...

I was in Vegas in mid-february and watched all the Canuck games there at various sports books. All the casinos have them. The best ones in my opinion were Caesar's palace (good chairs) and Mandalay Bay (bad chairs, but good sporting variety). Getting sound is a tougher proposition because other sports take precedence over hockey (although playoff hockey may be different) so they usually have the main screen and sound with a basketball game. If you're lucky though, you may get sound and a big screen devoted to a home Canucks game (or overtime game) because most other games are over by that time.

Hope that helps.

I think Jobu was saying the Venetian had Center Ice right in the rooms, but I'm not sure if that's the case. ESPN Zone has little TVs at your table and you pick the channel, but I'm not sure about audio.

Yes, they show it at the casino's. Make sure that Casino is equipped for betting on sporting events. They have a bunch of smaller T.V's. You will be watching the game, on a t.v screen smaller then the monitor your looking at now.

I was at the right place at the right time situation. They showed the canucks vs Sharks game, on their giant screen for some reason. and i watched it there. But yea, your best bet is at a casino. Hockey is not big in Vegas as they will be covering the NBA.
