Brennan

How do you like him so far? Is he getting more than 4 mins a game?

Thanks for the reply, it was very informative. A bunch of chatter boxes the lot of you are, anyway hope he does well for you and can improve his game enough to be a player for you for years. Good luck Kip.

He's fine. Better than Lessard, but that's not much of a compliment.

Really? I am curious as to why you would say that? Is this from a standpoint of point production? If so, I can understand, but since neither player is there to produce points, you would talking about the other assets they bring the team. Both players are grinders and respected heavyweights among their peers in the league, obviously an invaluable role.

it is hard to pick one over they other since they are both willing combatants, I think Lessard has shown the abilty to take a better punch than Brennan. Lessard is quite the bleeder, but that doesn't really matter in the end.

I haven't been able to see them play game in and game out, which of them do you folks think is more capable of handling a regular shift?

Brennan, precisely why I said he's better. He can skate at least.

Ah, I see, HollyG, thanks for the response. I havent heard many Thrasher fans complain about Lessard, (other than when he was scratched) that was why I asked.

I know that he was moved from defense to wing as a Thrasher right? I guess that goes a ways in parallel to your poor skating comment, or the congestion of tough defensive defensemen. He has never been one projected to put up big numbers (besides PIMS), at any level, but I think he's been counted on for being otherwise sound on the ice, staying plus or even in many games over his entire career to date.

He was moved mostly because you can't have a defenseman in the box all game and make the other five suffer. I also just don't think he is good enough to take a regular shift at the NHL level at any position. At wing he can at least be on the roster. I don't think he could ever make the roster at D.

Concur. He showed me nothing all year other than a willingness to spend 2 and 5 minute bursts in the box, both attended and alone.
