Good for Bods....not really sure what the Danish team is like but having Boedker there will certainly help them.

It's most likely going to be the best Danish NT ever. Mikkel Bødker and Peter Regin are already released, and the hopes are that Frans Nielsen will be too.

Besides that we have a good handful of players from strong European leagues. The only players needed for the team to be optimal in my eyes are Lars Eller and Jannik Hansen. Hansen might join if the Canucks get's eliminated.

I hope Boedker does well. I look forward to watching him in this tournament.

Do any of you guys from Denmark know what line he is expected to play on?

1 or 2 line duty.

The NT coach said today that he hopes Bødker will be a go to guy for the team, in regards to goalscoring.

He will get a very prominent role on the danish team especially now when we will be without Eller, Frans Nielsen and Jannik Hansen and Morten Madsen.

I came away more and more impressed with Boedker as the season progressed. I read some of the praises being heaped upon him by Muckler and Maloney and hadn't fully bought in to just how good he is going to be. By the end of the season Boedker was generating plenty of chances and displaying his speed and hands much more frequently.

What was the defense doing on the 2-1? Oh my...

The Krauts are fortunate to have the 2010 tournament in Germany and automatically qualify as the host.

Losses to France, Denmark, Switzerland, ... not exactly a good showing by the squad coached by former Stanley-Cup-clinching-goal-scorer Uwe Krupp.

It seems German hockey is being pushed further and further down the rankings by other teams emerging with better national programs. Well done and hats off to the Danes. The Germans desperately need their strongest players (Hecht, Schubert, Ehrhoff, Goc, Sturm, Greiss, etc.) to play for the national team to have any chance at advancing to the quarter finals.

Young talent like Sulzer, Braun, Schutz and Pielmeier, for example, are like a dim light at the end of the tunnel... but the current tournament performance is yet another major disappointment for German hockey.

One of them was an empty netter though. The other one was shorthanded

Overall good effort by Bødker. I didn't expect him to be our saviour, he has played a lot of games, and he had to adjust a little to the big ice again. However he got better and better, and managed to stay in the a-pool. Hopefully we will have a better team next year
