This was roster of guys who were all on the same team at the same time at one point.

Oh yeah, It's all on Holmgren. He was stupid to aquire Carle and his Salary with Jones out, knowing that Jones would be back at some point.

To continue the part with Briere from last thread.

In order to get Briere back into the line-up we moved Ossi, Metro, and Upshall. Nothing that would destroy the chemistry of this team. This team has been playing like **** since January first, something that has been pointed out numerous times. Also, as pointed out Briere had 14 points in 16 games since coming back. However, you just choose to ignore the facts.

Jones is what I was really getting at. Not that Jones cost us the game (someone else brought up Briere), but it was HIS contract that cost at least 3 players on this team. Also keep in mind that Briere played the Dec. 2 game vs. Tampa after Carle had been here for a month. It's a few small points people seem to forget, that it wasn't like Briere showed up on the team in the middle of the season.

I thought Briere played well.

Nobody was finishing their chances, we hit a few posts, Hartnell took 17 penalties, we played Alberts & Jones fffaaaarrrr too much, and the Penguins played well feeding off their home crowd's energy. The Flyers have alot to work on in practice tomorrow. But we are still in this!

I just noticed that too. He got less than two minutes more than Carcillo. Not enough.

Also, can we please stop passing on odd-man rushes? The Penguins were absolutely ready and expecting those whenever we had a chance. What did the Penguins do when they had a 3-on-1?

We need to play more Flyers hockey. But we need to play SMART Flyers hockey. The refs are going to call anything that looks remotely out of line. Checks need to be finished in upcoming games and people need to pay the price when going into the corners. Simple as that, if we do that we win this series.

skated right in front of the goal until Carle turned his back to the person with the puck, Grade A defense

Still trying to figure out why they dont put him on the powerplay.. He is on it for 12 seconds and sets someone up in front of the goal.

I agree. Play physical, just don't be stupid about it! There is still plenty of time to get back in this.

I know I'm not. I thought he was one of our best forwards tonight. He actually tried.

Did people expect something other than this tonight?

I thought, perhaps, they would baptize themselves in the locker room and wipe away the sins of the regular season... but, I certainly didn't expect them to do so.

Oh, well.

Friday's a new day.

The answer I was looking for was 'the man with the puck shot it.' Carle has done well covering odd-man rushes, and yes Kennedy dragged him over, instead of Carle trying to poke it away, but the shooter is the goaltender's responsibility regardless.
