So what, we'd give up two short-handed goals instead of one?

Between a 5 minutes well deserved PP and peanuts, there's a huge difference. Rangers got robbed on that hit you can't deny that. Would have they won the game? That's not even the point, what's done is done, I'm not looking for excuses; what for? We lost, we lost, bottom line.

But there are more and more incidents in this league involving a bad officiating. That's becoming annoying for everybody, the fans, the TVs and the league. You can't give even unintentionally the momentum to a team like this, that's just embarrassing. Not on a national network in a such important game for BOTH teams.

But I'm still more mad against the guy who decided to bench Orr for that game...

When I saw that I was questioning why he wasn't ejected from the game. I thought that was the new rule when that kind of stuff happens in warmups. So instead of the league following its rules, like they were apparently forced to do with Torts, Brashear stays in the game and possibly ends a solid players' career.

nice job NHL.

btw, no coincidence that with Betts out our PK goes 0-2.

I think he will for next game... André Roy of the Flames got suspended for something similar last week, but not for the game in question but for the next one.

Guess we will find out this afternoon

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=276631

Washington Capitals forward Donald Brashear has a 1pm et hearing with the National Hockey League to discuss his actions in Game 6 against the New York Rangers.

Brashear will face supplemental discipline for both his exchange with New York's Colton Orr in the warm-up prior to the game and his late hit on Rangers forward Blair Betts in the first period.

Funny how TSN calls it a late hit but none of the caps fans think it was.

Oh I see...I guess it could have been an aligator or a snake. Or maybe Callahan. That's true.

isn't that just terrible?

Is it really believable that NBC didn't have any camera angles that might have captured this?

although Shane Morrison did say he didn't do it so I guess that is good enough for this league..

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/cap...t-do-that.html

I really would like to know why they think Dubi would lie about that. Isn't more likely that Morrison would lie about not doing it?

I feel like the only two players that give a **** on this team are Dubinsky and Callahan.

I'm very curious to see how this game is officiated. Considering that Ovechkin/Crosby matchup is looming over head.

For a change I'd love it if we didn't to have that in the back of our minds.

Rangers dominating the play...first power play to Washington. That makes sense.

Avery dumped into the open door of the Caps bench when the puck was 200 feet away. No call.

Sometimes you gotta beat the opponent AND the refs. On the road in game 7 could very well be one of those times.
