As an outsider, im beyond happy for you guys. IMHO as an outsider he did a poor job trying to take this club to the next level. Maybe a new direction will help keep Gaborik aorund?

I think he and Lemaire brought this team as far as they can go. The Wild have been extremely successful compared to other expansion teams but I don't think you guys are able to take the next step without new blood.

I'll be damned...I think this was long overdue but I'm still a bit stunned.

As an Avs fan I'm not sure how to feel about this!

The Minnesota fans deserve better. About time. Few yrs too late. I'll always consider DR an epic failure as a GM.

Doug Risebrough was good manager. You better hope Leipold will acquire someone better which won't be that easy.

I take it Leipold wasn't interested in see any more subpar draft picks and departing free agents.

This may make it more likely for Marian Gaborik to come back.

Leipold said today new GM will be just that, no split titles. Blais for GM could be interesting. I doubt he'd leave Fargo for anything right now though.

Considering what team is in your avatar I can understand why you thought he was a good GM

The Leafs won't let us talk to Dave Nonis, David Poile ruled out a move to MN, and Jay Feaster wants the job.

Anybody but Feaster, please.

We should go after that guy in Dallas whose name slips my mind.

Where does this put the young guy that Risebrough hired, Snow? He was a real rising star as a reporter.

Thank god! I'm a huge Wild fan, but even I had stopped watching them most of this year. Its time for new blood and Riser, while doing good the first few years, has been horrible since the run to the conference finals a few years back.

The line is quickly forming for this job. Quinn is very interested as well as many others. Check it out.
