Absolute brutality... Insane that Gokhan could just take that and keep going. Those bruises that wrapped around his sides to his back were nearly instant. Then the way he peppered the hell out of Ghita's leg and kept the combos with the hands going... So fast.

Well had to watch it taped 2day due to exams in the morning, glad I didn't peak at the results as there's no way i thought Aerts could have beaten Semmy. My congratulations to Overeem the first dual K1/MMA champion , that's a pretty big deal. Still would have liked to see Aerts get one more, pity; he should nt retire as he can still hang im there with the best of them .

Overall was a pretty good event and in perticuler the Saki/Ghita fight delivered, still would say I prefer last years GP to this one though.

Glad to see Overreem take it although not surprised. Props to Aerts, he just keeps getting it done even at age 40. The guy is the definition of warrior.

I miss Remy.

hmmmm another highlight reel KO of Jason High or another disappointing fight from a fat, unmotivated looking Sakurai, I can't decide.

I'm leaning towards the latter, I can't see him being motivated for "Jason High". Mind you it is dynamite so maybe he'll bring it. I honestly can't remember the last time he looked good, maybe the Aoki fight? It's a shame.

Yeah it's been downhill since the Aoki fight, three straight losses. And last year's Dynamite saw him get schooled by Gono so I dunno even that is much motivation for the guy these days.

Anyways they announced some more crazy fights

Mousasi vs Kyotaro in K-1 rules is hilarious, I'll be pulling for Mousasi so hard. Minowaman vs Izumi will also rule for obvious reasons.

I've read rumours that Overeem's opponent is likely to be Satoshi Ishii or even Bobby Lashley both of which would be fricking massacres.

Mousasi could give Kyotaro a run for his money. Keep in mind how he walked right through Musashi in 2008.

I feel bad for these guys. Not only will they get destroyed but FEG probably won't pay them either.

They should just make it 2 on 1. Overeem vs Ishii and Lashley.

Personally, I want to see:

Fedor & Aleksander Emelioestevez vs. Bob Sapp & MINOWAMAN

I've got MINOWAMAN finishing Aleksander with a knee bar, and Fedor running out of the ring and hiding backstage to avoid the fury of MINOWAMAN.

Looks like it's going to be Overeem vs Duffee.

I think it's better than Lashley but it should be over pretty quick.

yup

Quote:
Duffee’s manager, Monte Cox, spoke candidly with MMAFA.tv about the recently-signed match-up:

"This is one of those opportunities that come around once in a lifetime. Todd isn't 100% and there isn't enough time to get 100% ready, but he felt like it was a dream come true to fight against one of the best, if not the best, heavyweights in the world.

"I'll be honest, I argued against taking the fight. I'd rather he have time to prepare and be at full strength... but he was adamant that this was a special opportunity and he wasn't going to pass on it and regret it later on. He said 'I'm a fighter... this is what I do.' How am I supposed to argue with that logic?"
Apparently he's getting paid about $60K though which is like 8 times what he made for his last UFC fight. That's assuming he actually does get paid, of course.

And the difference in income taxation between the two nations can't be stated strong enough.

But yeah, doesn't matter what the % is ... 0 is still 0, ha!

So pumped for Dynamite 2nite!

Surprised Hioki won, thought Sandro would take it for sure.

I'd suggest those who want to post about Dynamite!!! utilize spoiler tags for at least a week. Going to probably avoid this thread for the next few days after the event.

If by some happenstance something needs moderation in here, report the post and one of my cohorts will clean up any messes.

Some of the Sengoku fights have been posted on this youtube channel, mostly just the short ones. Sadly no Hioki/Sandro yet, from what I've read it sounds pretty incredible.

I hope that fight puts Hioki in the UFC's cross hairs, I've been very impressed with him ever since he took Homminick out in TKO. He was a legit top 10 FW, he has to be top 5 now.

Spoiler

Title fight was somewhat dissapointing. Well I guess they always have the option of a rubber match to settle it, and hopefully this gives some more options to Dream's featherweight division.

I was really impressed by Mousassi, Overeem and Kawajiri. In perticuler Reem absolutly destroyed Duffe, and while Duffe may not be top 10 the way he manhandeled him is really making me start to believe that ppl are ducking Overeem, who wants to fight a monster like that.

Finally lol at Aoki. I love him to death, but in a sense he got what was coming to him with those antics in the first round.

Pretty entertaining fights.

Overeem absolutely demolished Duffee, seems like Duffee took a page out of Brock Lesnars book with his strategy in that fight. I think now Overeem has officially replaced Fedor as the enigmatic mystery man who has the power to destroy anyone. Combine Fedor's loss to Werdum and his complete disregard for the fans and fighting in general, and Overeem has become the new guy that UFC fans are salivating over.

SO GLAD AOKI GOT KO'D. That fight was such a joke, and for that loser to get destroyed like that in the MMA round was pure gold

Mousasi looked sharp against Kyotaro, I wonder what 2011 holds for him in terms of being a K-1 or an MMA fighter. Could we see another MMA guy take the K-1 GP by storm?
