We dominated? Really? Because I'm pretty sure it was the bruins who stayed in our zone for like 2 whole periods...

Why didn't they call a time-out???

If that's Boston's A game, they are screwed.

Plekanec, Andrei and Brisebois were atrocious.

Gorges is an idiot. Solid otherwise.

Gainey is a bigger idiot. Brutal coaching in some aspects.

Laraque played, probably, his best game of the season but in the end, does it even mean anything? Playing him 13 minutes, makes no sense to me.

Koivu and Kovalev were all heart, but what can you do playing shorthanded every shift?

Higgins and Metro were beasts.

Price was solid, but needs to make a gamebreaking save when we ice a lineup like this.

Lapierre was average. Hamrlik too.

Komisarek tried hard, but needs to figure out a way to clear the puck.

Latendresse needs a spot on a scoring line, he was working hard.

Dandenault was fine. Scheinder was alright. Tanguay was okay. D'Agostini was meh, but the best on his line.

Kostopoulos was his hardworking self.

Laps line wasn't great too to be honest. They got a couple of chances but they their forechecking was basically nonexistent.

Boston barely beat us. A couple of stupid mistakes and a dumb penalty cost us the win.

Now we know can compete with the supposed unbeatable bruins.
But anyway .. I will keep my emotion in check. We're 0-1 down .. It's over.
The damage was done.

**** Gainey for playing Brisebois.

**** him also for putting LARAQUE on LINE 1 (Carbo syndrome anyone?)

All in all, I still believe we'll beat those losers.

Come on, Montreal. I mean, Bob was an easy prey for Claude just because of that. Montreal will win it with speed, not with a freaking anchor on its first line...

Koivu is a warrior (taking any notes Pleks?). See him hammering Chara at the end there? Anyways, hope the Habs can do some dammage and make a series of this.

Gainey has to fix his line-up. Scratch Brisebois, Plekanec. Heck, maybe even Andrei Kostitsyn. Bring up Max Pacioretty and put in Stewart.

Too much brisebois and too much laraque but other than that, i am quite happy

i dont care what anyone says, gorges cost us the game BUT he did have a heck of a game otherwise, its a lesson learned, and i can guarantee you he will think twice about doing what he did for the rest of his NHL career

Lets BUILD off of this positive game in wich our top line wasnt even INTACT and no markov and we still kept it close, i see great things for next game baby

You want to bring a guy from the junior to the NHL playoffs? I hope you're kidding.

Don't know what some of you guys are thinking but Laraque did kinda make a difference, especially earlier. They just have to respect any line with him on since he can defend his linemates.

I was happy with how they played, if not for a late powerplay this one would have probably gone to overtime.

Just bring the effort for game 2, if we can get the split, the Bruins are in for a very long series.

I agree. People say Laraque played a good game....sure, as good as he can play. But Kovalev despite his goal was invisible.

So an invisible Kovalev is worst than a great Laraque....'cause even a great Laraque can't convert his chances.

Too bad. We were in that one all the way, until a stupid penalty by Gorges and an awful read on the PK by Kostopoulos. I don't want to harp on him because he played an otherwise good game, but how do you follow Savard all the way to the net and leave Chara, the guy we should be sticking to like glue, wide open at the point? Brainless.

No problem with Laraque on the first line. He was creating space and playing well and Gainey was trying desperately to spread out our offense by putting Tanguay on the other lines. Our offense is not the reason we lost this game.

As for Plekanec...yikes. It wouldn't be so bad if we had Lang to take some of the heat off him but he is just not cutting it out there, yet again.

Even though I defended the insertion of Brisebois into the lineup, he was a disaster tonight.

Also, aside from his goal, Kovalev was completely invisible. Before anyone says "he was playing with Laraque", so was Koivu and he was one of our best players.

I've been saying it all along, if we can get a split in Boston without Markov I'll be ecstatic. We were never out of this one so that gives me (and hopefully the team) confidence going into Saturday.
