Looking forward to watching Burmistrov play for the first time tonight, he's been dominant on the score sheet in his two games so far with 3g 5a 8p. It's a bit early but it's looking like the CHL isn't ruining him yet as he's flourishing early on.
Drafted by the Innisfil Lakers (GMHL) in the 5th round. He was very close to coming over to North America, but changed his mind at the last second. He is willing to come over to Canada if the right situation is presented. Said he was just to young, but will re-consider next year.
And yes, he is Related to Alex Ovechkin, and has a very close relationship with him.
Still a pretty highly regarded prospect in Canada.

already asked once in an other thread: what happened to Sigarev? I found nothing on theweb.
and what are the chances of some other overagers like Gusev, Barbashev or Poteikin to get drafted?
Yeah Zlobin behind all of them ? No Zakar Arzamastsev in the top 10 ?
And Marchenko, Apalkov drafted ? ... It would be awesome ! But is Barbashev, Gogolev and Gusev better than Apalkov ?
And Nikolai Prokhorkin is a 2012 eligible ... is late -93 ....
What do you think of Sergei Shmelev, Efim Gurkin, Bulat Baikeev, Denis Blokhin, Oleg Lomako, Semen Zherebtsov, Alexei Shamin ... ?
i personally think that they are all about same level but Apalkov has stepped on another level compared to last season and he has a size (184cm,90 kg) which is as we know very important! Shmelev is still ok and are one of the leaders in Mytishi but i cant say same thing about Shamin. Dont know anything about other players you named here. PS: i am not high about Slobin. cant say why

Well, putting Shalunov over Khokhlachev makes little sense at this point, not because of talent, but because Khokhlachev plays in the OHL. Look at Burmistrov vs Tarasenko/Kuznetsov last year. And Shalunov just played his first KHL game, unlike Taras and Kuzya, which have much more experience.
And Makarov plays in the QMJHL, for Lewiston.
And replying to other players, Zlobin wasn't on the same level as other 93 top prospects, playing in NA will make him drafted, but this still doesn't mean that he's better

btw, this years cska-junior squad is tremendously talented and deep. would like to see them play once... (not an easy task... out of switzerland )

good point. especially with the good start khokhlachev had in NA.
But Shalunov is scoring on a very good rate since the beginning of this year, in any team he played. If he keeps it up through the season and plays the U-18 WCH up to the expectations... he'll be a very intriguing prospect, particularly if we take his size into account. We all know how fans and scouts overseas love size, as a pure matter.
(btw, I've seen him play only once... so this is a wild guess talentwise.)
