Let's hope for a better effort this time. Going down 2-0 in the series isn't the end of the world if we have a great effort in this game and the score is close. But if the same team as last time shows up (and that can't happen twice in a row, right?), then the series may be over quicker than many thought.

Still, coming back to Raleigh with a tied series is the goal right now. That happens, and all the momentum shifts our way. Go Canes!

You always want to take it one game at a time. With that said, that is the exact situation I am thinking of and it would be nice going home having split the first two games in NJ. Home ice would then shift on our lap.

No doubt NJ is going to come ready to play again tonight. Maybe even better than they were in game one. In their minds, they're playing it out and prepared that we're damn well coming to play after that horrendous, piss poor (lack of) effort we put in on Wednesday.

I expected us to come out flying off the wall in game 1. Didn't happen. I sure as hell expect nothing less tonight. If we can't get up, focused, and come ready to play tonight, we can pack our bags. I don't give a flying **** if it is a 7 game series and I could care less that we overcame a 2-0 deficit in 06'. If you can't show desire, effort, determination, the will to want to win in the Stanley Cup Playoffs - Clean out your locker.

I'll be watching and pulling for you guys tonight. I want to go to a playoff game when I get back from New Orleans in May. Best of luck.

Conn Smythe, I don't think you should be allowed to change your handle in the middle of the season, let alone the middle of the playoffs. Very confusing dude!

Having said that...

GIT 'ER DUN!

LET'S GO CANES!

ALSO, do we have the lines for tonight's game? Interested to see if there's some sort of shake up.

Isn't Cullen on the second line now? With Jokinen on the fourth with Bayda and Walker?

Sounds like Maurice is holding his cards close to his chest. I don't think we'll know until game time.

http://blogs.newsobserver.com/canes/...-about-changes

My best guess -

Ruutu - Staal - Cole
Whitney - Cullen - LaRose
Samsonov - Brind'Amour - Eaves
Bayda - Jokinen - Walker

There is mention of Kaberle being put in the lineup for a better puck-movement, but I am going to say I doubt it happens right now. If we lose this one and go down 2-0, than I think we'll see it.

The blog says we'll have new 4th line tonight. Boychuk-Sutter-Bowman.

Apparently, Maurice wants to bring some speed and talent in to get this team going.

Maurice would get crucified if he ever tried that and it didn't pay off immediately

Cullen and Eaves looked like our best forwards to me in that last game. Hope they will have more prominent roles tonight.

Just got off Mike M's live chat. He confirmed that Bayda is playing tonight.

Bottom 2 lines will start off like:

Samsonov/Brindy/Eaves
Bayda/Jokinen/Walker

Not that Seidenberg had a great game on Wednesday, but . I can't believe that slow, useless Wallin is still in the lineup and Seidenberg isn't.

Like I said on the other thread, Kaberle is useless vs. the Devils. I wouldn't put him in over Wallin, much less Seidenberg.

Babchuk will take his place in the press box next and Mo will finally realize what Lavi always knew.
