Question about Pouliot

What you guys think? Is he a late bloomer or bust?
When Minnesota drafted him I saw in him a guy like Bobby Ryan!

I saw in him a guy like the StayPuft Marshmallow Man, and it looks like I was right. He's soft, both in the heart and in the head.

I wouldn't go on record as calling him a bust yet, but at this point I'd be very surprised to see him have any kind of career in the NHL. He's too lazy to work as hard as he needs to work in order to have consistent success at this level, and apparently too stupid and/or too immature to understand - even after all these years of Lemaire and Risebrough screaming it in his ear - that his childish attitude is the only thing in the world that's keeping him from being a star. Tons of talent, but a wasted draft pick as far as I'm concerned.

I think someone else said this once, but I agreed with it. Reminds me of the best guy on the ice in a pickup hockey game. Talent to do whatever he wants. Then he gets into a situation where everyone has talent and he can't make the mental adjustment to compete consistently.

I've NEVER been a Princess Pouliot fan, but it does sound like he got his head screwed on a little straighter after his demotion to Houston this past season. I think(if he's a Wild player) next season will be crucial determining whether he's just a late bloomer or a bust. Hope he does step up and pan out, but I'm not exactly holding me breath either.

Hate him, and yet another reason we couldn't move him at the deadline

I dont think Lemaires style was good fit for him. I think he could do well under a more offensive style coach such as laviollet.

He needs an Eastern Conference team, most likely the Isles
