Who would you dress for tonight?

Sergei Kostitsyn or Thomas Plekanec?

Personnally, Plekanec! I feel (or maybe hope would be a more proper word) that this healthy scratch will have been beneficial to him. I don't believe in Sergei right now, I think he needs a good summer of work and reflexion.

I see them both being dressed.

But for the sake of the poll, I'd dress Pleks if it were between the two.

I'd dress Gainey over both of them right now.

I doubt Plek is held out again unless there is a private issue that the media hasn't gotten wind of. I've been less than impressed with his play this season but considering Glen Metropolit played 18 minutes last game (more than Koivu & Lapierre) I think we could use some help down the middle. As for who to take out, you don't necessarily need to bench a forward since Weber was supposed to be playing up front last game until Bouillon got hurt. I think it'll be btwn S Kost and D'Ago for the remaining spot on the 2nd line.

Lats-Lappy-Kosto
Higgins-Metro-Webber

Hammer-Komi
Shneider-Brisebois

We can't afford to be sending messages anymore, we need the best team we can ice.

God that 2nd line is a neutron star of suck

What do they have, like 3 combined pts in 20 games?

The Habs were ok when Lapierre/Lats were playing like a 2nd line, and the PP was at 40%, but now this non-existant 2nd line is killing the team, more than missing Markov.

Lang going down really finished Andrei Kostitsyn's season as well, I don't think he's scored since then. Lang is a really smart player and knew how to use Andrei like the dumb little tool he is.

Sit Laraque and dress Webber and Brisebois? How have they helped us this series?

That's better. Sergei and Pleks are both not getting it done. Higgins played center later in the season for a few games and his faceoff % was very decent. Laraque has been effective, especially in Game 1. Game 2 wasn't great for anybody. Putting Tanguay back on that line at home should do the trick. We still need Laraque's size in the lineup. You don't take a guy like him out in a grinding playoff series. Listen to his pre-game audio on Habs I/O - he stays.

Weber needs to play on the back end. Other than one errand pass that we're used to seeing out of Brisebois, Weber looked pretty comfortable. Put him with defensively responsible Gorges instead of Schneider, and we're good to go.

I would dress both, I mean I think today we need to play like we have absolutely nothing to lose. I'm hoping that the habs play smart disciplined hockey. And I certainly hope that they play their fast hockey.

I don't think any player has disappointed me MORE on Montreal this year than S. Kostitsyn.

I would rather Bob play almost anyone from Hamilton than him.

p.s. if he is playing, I hope he scores a couple goals and makes me eat my words.

Pleks. SKost looks so crazy lazy out there are times. That hooking penalty he took last game pissed me right off, just a pure lazy play.
