bought an 18 year old for 14 million. 69AI recently pulled, was showing 87 68.

I figured his Q was showing on the low side, and I was right.

He ended up being 93.

Not bad.

hoping his P is also on the low side as well

Rushing had a good showing in his first U20 WC appearance. In the friendly against Sweden, he only allowed 2 goals on 35 shots for 93.4% and the highest rating of the game at 6.5.

What is Matt Phan showing? He's a rather poor YP from a couple seasons back and I didn't want to pay his salary anymore, so I listed him. He sold for 7.6 million, which is about 7.5 million more than I expected

Anyway, his actual Q/P is 71/59. Figured he must be showing a lot better to have gotten that kind of money. Is he?

The guy that bought him has only been playing for a month and a half.

My main goalie, Yannick van Rijn, (currently playing the last 40 minutes of most games or the entire game if it's against a strong team) is player of the Week.

With a 100% save percentage. And the other goalie Gianni ten Hove(played 60 minutes in 3 games total this week) also had 100%. I did not get scored on in a league game this week.

Also had the d-man of the week, 3g 3a +9. Lothar Cerny.

Good times.

Random H.A. Lesson From NHL33, Issue #1

Ladies and gentlemen, I congratulate you for reading the first installment of Guide to H.A., complete with tips & tricks to make your Hockey Arena experience more savvy and fun. Lesson 1 is regarding those "borderline" players who look good.

Exhibit A, Krum Galiev: http://www.hockeyarena.net/en/index....hp&id=17262728

Q: With his estimated 84 quality and 95 potential, a smoldering 54 ability points to his name, and the ripe young age of legal 18, the question is begotten: Do I bid on him when his market price is currently $20 million or higher??

A: No, you do not. As we can see, his energy is only 38. That, my friend, requires a fair amount of rest to fix. But it does not stop there! No! What devilry is this? Player history indicates he was sold recently for shocking $25 million.

This concludes our exhaustive Q&A session complete with thorough, detailed, meticulous examinations. Stay tuned for not-likely-to-recur future episodes of Random Lessons in H.A. Minor. Lesson 2 is regarding those funny, seemingly random list prices.

One of NHL's many recent purchases was very similar to Strapko, 18yo & 70-something AI. Both went for 50M. I though that type of player would bring in much more than that. Boo for you. Yay for NHL

I went with the kids as well, but Rector's line was a bit too good

Is this the elusive goalie you've been looking for?

I didn't realize Rushing was on the U20 team. Congrats. Good thing you didn't post his weak spot for all the world to see

NOPE. The goalie prospects have been pretty slim lately, so I'm wasting my money buying guys I don't really need. I'm gonna run out of cash soon at this rate, maybe I'll pull one today!

This goalie strikes me as potentially good - but I'm set in goal and he'll probably go for more than I'd pay for a backup. You might want to consider him Mallard.

Already was tracking him

Great minds think alike

he is actually exactly what I am looking for, but he might end up costing too much.

Only have about 120 in the bank right now

Yeah ajoyce added him as the 3rd goalie and said he'd play him in a friendly or two to see how he plays.

19 years old 109AI 98Q scouted, 48P unscouted

If only the potential could be better, but still, I can't complain

Thank you.

Started out the season 2-10 so far, but I have 3 games upcoming I'm confident I can win.. and if I can beat the same teams again I will be able to stay above relegation so hopefully it works out.

-sigh- I lost my team, my 200AI player, my 89 T/R arena. But I'm starting a grassroots organization and starting up HA again.

One of my players... is going to lead the way. He's 27 Speed and 15 SCo.... and that's it.. boy it's gonna be a long rebuild process.

He is a center

I actually don't know what he will be used as on the U20 or if he will be a starter, but Ajoyce informed me that this next weekend he will be seeing 4th line and PK duty.

So i'll see where Ajoyce puts him

Ok YP day. Let's see here:

The best of this bunch is a 17 year old showing 70+Q and 60+P. Hopefully he has at least as much Q/P as he is showing. He would be a winger for sure.

Next is this 19 year old. He's not very good, but he starts with 21 SHO. Could I get a Q/P on him?

Then there is another 17 year old. He's showing 60Q and 70+P. He might make a decent center if he's as good, preferably better, than he's showing.

I said four players, right? Well the fourth isn't in the game any longer.
