"Ninety minutes before the Canadiens' schedule practice at Brossard, Andrei Markov was skating with strength and conditioning coordinator Scott Livingston. Markov was taking some shots.
No sign of fellow defenceman Francis Bouillon, whose hard-luck comeback ended after four shifts Saturday night in Boston. Unclear on his status, but we should know more today.
Colleague Abe Hefter of CJAD, who has less of a life than I do – and I'm afraid I have none – was here earlier this Sunday morning and swears that he saw Robert Lang, out since Feb. 1 with a sliced Achilles tendon in his left foot, turning a few laps in a track suit but no equipment.
The scrubs on the ice now include Tomas Plekanec, Ryan O'Byrne, Gregory Stewart and Matt D'Agostini, along with designated target Maxime Joyal, a goalie for Concordia University."
I highly doubt Lang could return in the next week or two (if we're still alive), but getting Markov back is the best possible thing that can happen to this team right now. Our record without him over the last three years is simply pathetic.

D'Agostini is far from a scrub. Without him, we'd already be golfing.
+1
he's been everything you can ask from a rookie who wasn't supposed to break our lineup. Killer shot and I will say it again, can hit. Only problem - bad defensive coverage.
I fear our only chance of coming back in this is with Markov in for game 3. Let's hope taking shots means he can also pivot and pass as he is known for doing (some suggest it's upper body).
He's not playing tomorrow. Gainey confirmed it today at his PC (see on RDS.ca video section). Markov will only return after he has at least one morning skate/practice with the team and he's not that close yet.
