My ice hockey team can't win a game to save our lives. Whenever we draw a penalty the *** high schoolers who think that fighting add inches to your **** fight back and Knuble the PP. Then the ice is **** and a few of them try nothing but dekes, and since the ice is **** a simple poke check shuts them down and gets the play going the other way. Then our defense can't keep their head up to break out or even clear the puck(half of our clearance attempts were either intercepted at the blue line or hit an opposing player come out).

Sorry, venting.

I went ice skating this weekend for the first time in 10 years and I failed at it.

I bruised both elbows and both knees pretty bad. I'm almost 22 and little kids both put me to shame and laughed at me for my efforts.

I think I had a worse weekend, haha.

Well I took a slash to the ankles that left a bruise and a huge trip where I think from falling I bruised me knee. And we lost 9-2. Pick your poison.

Heh, just be thankful you can skate.

What I wouldn't do to lace my skates right now.

I honestly can't imagine. I've missed a month and a half at most and that sucked. You've got me beat Opie.

Keep healing. Your day will come.

Rotorob post-mortem.

The headline pic and what's written below is pretty funny.

Scottie Upshall receives a one game suspension for a hit to the head at the World Hockey Championships. IIHF rules require a suspension for any blow to the head; the player he hit was caught with his head down and almost certainly wouldn't have even received a penalty in the NHL.

This is something that bothers me. I really wish the NHL would spend more time, and bring a heavier hand to dealing with blows to the head. Instead they are worried about "message sending," "bullying" and fighting.

If by "can" skate, you mean that I can physically lace up the skates, then yes, I can do that.

If by "can" skate you mean making it around the rink without falling on my face, then no, I can not do that.
