Guys I know it sucks to lose and it really really sucks to lose at home and likely get swept by the Bruins but they do have very solid team that is built for the playoffs. We just are over matched in every aspect, every single one. simple.

Yeeeahh...aaannnd. Gainey recognized the need and corrected it with Schneider. IT worked. Then, yet another player he acquires get's injured. Gainey's fault right?

I'll be so glad when this centennial year is done and I hope the organization takes advantage of all these UFAs and retools this team.

Maybe I'm going all drama queen here, but I just want to see some big changes. I'm willing to sacrifice some time to get this right. Look what Philly did a couple of years ago. A short retooling season isn't impossible. We have some really good assets and if managed correctly, this organization could give itself a facelift.
but bob won't

I know he's young and such... but this is my one overreaction I'm permitting myself for the night.

...he should be traded first thing at the draft. Frankly, the way he's played lately, he doesn't deserve a qualifying offer.

With all the UFA's, and a potentially weak core returning.....is next year's team going to be any better?

Or is it another year of scramble to make the playoffs?

Yaa, I tend to use We and Us when I talk about the Habs, I know it's kinda stupid but I'm used to.

Also you're John Locke, can't you like resurrect or something?

lets just pray for a sweep, you know there wont be any changes if the team pushes boston to 5 or 6 games and end up losing anyways.

That Chara fella is pretty effective. Seriously, we don't have the horses in the lineup to beat him. He's at the top of his game.

Latendresse is nowhere to be seen in this series.

Metropolit screwed the pooch on Thornton's goal again.

We backed up way too much before the third goal, it just became a shooting gallery.

Halak most probably wouldn't have made a difference. Price was alright.

Weber had a strong night, the first half at least, getting the puck out of the zone.

Markov's minutes just can't be covered by the rest of the cast.

Hamrlik has aged badly this season and I'd love to be able to flip to TB if possible in a mega-deal

Komisarek's been alright in this series. Not his fault as Cherry said on the first freakish goal.

Seriously, the Panthers would have put the Bruins to a much bigger test.

We're too small everywhere. We're too banged up. Our goalie is amazing one minute, atrocious the next. The mix just isn't right.

They tried hard tonight and during the series as a whole for the most part, but Boston is a pretty well-oiled machine and they haven't given us a chance.

Some seriously stupid ****ing people on these boards.
Price needed to be better than Thomas for us to have a chance to win, he got outplayed every game in the series.

You can defend him all you want, but at the end of the day he wasn't good enough.

Huh, we played great overall except for the momentum change in the third. Guess what, we just can't win. No one would win over Boston with the lineup we have. Boston probably wouldn't win without Chara, same for us without Markov. After 2 periods, Gorges played more than Chara. Jesus Christ, if that doesn't tell you anything about our injuries...

Also, I missed something: why the hell weren't Tanguay and Schneider playing?

Injured again?

Why people put this squarely on Price's shoulders absolutely boggles my mind when his own players are coughing up pucks to the Bruins and not checking in their own end making goals happen in their zone because of it.

Once again we lost, but it really could have been worse than it was.

We had 1 shot on net in the 3rd almost 3/4 of the way in...is that Price's fault too???

Wake up and blame the lack of offense and poor defense that has been here all year, even before Price's injury and down turn in the season.

Gainey should try to move up in draft and get Duchene. I really think he's going to be a franchise player....another Sakic if you will.

And I hate to admit it, but Cherry made a good point about Lang. Eversince he went out with that injury the Habs record plummeted. With him as our 2nd line centre and Plekanec as our 3rd line centre we were a pretty deep team. Andre Kost thrived playing Lang.

Another rebuild please

Honestly though, Gainey should try to pry one of those big centers out of Phoenix.

Hard to win games against the best team in the East let alone with $22M watching from the infirmary. Maybe I'm not as upset because I pretty much gave up on the season in late February.
