I predict that the Canes may actually get a lead at some point in this game.

I'm glad Seidenberg is back in. Personally, as well as Kabs played I thought it was a dumb move in the first place to take Seidenberg out. The whole team had a piss poor game in the first outing. The first game needed more effort, not mobility. I myself wouldn't have sat the teams leading shot blocker (160), 2nd on defence & fourth on the team in hits (146) and one of our 30-point defeceman on the back end.

But that's just me.

I'm looking forward to this game so much. Hopefully it'll be a bit relaxing after a long day of work (Group project, 10 page paper and three 1 page papers).

Am I alone in the thought that I wouldn't mind seeing PM send the 4th line out their to start and let Scotty Walker just beat the crap out of someone early to set a tone. I thought in Gm. 3 we didn't have nearly enough emotion.

Do you want Scotty Walker to be carried of the ice on stretchers with another concussion?

He is not capable to fight; he won't and he shouldn't fight for quite some time now.

No, Im with you. Id like to see us crash the freakin net so hard that it blows out Marty and takes a dman with him. It will be well worth the penalty to send the message that we aint taking anymore cheap shots from them and we'll be in Marty's kitchen all night long. Every check needs to be finished, no more laying off the big hit. NJ is not anymore of a physical team than we are so theres no reason that upping our physcial play shoudnt wear them down. When the Canes do turn up the heat, it wears down the opponent in most cases in the 3rd period.

Canes were turning it on in the 3rd period last game and NJ wasnt answering, they were just focused on sticking with their gameplan. If the canes can bring that intensity from the start, it'll force the devils to play a different game.

If you want to beat Marty, get him off his game. To that, I want our guys in Marty's kitchen and making his life miserable. Sure he gets his fair share of goalie interference calls cause he flops and starts whining to the refs, but take the chance and DO IT. I want Marty flopping all over the ice trying to get the GI call cause if he is, that means you are doing your job.

To summarize, I want a$$es in Marty's face all night long.

Its time to give the Devils their due and that's straight back to hell.

Just do it!!!!!!!!

Of course that's not what I want and if he can't do it than someone else ( I'd rather it not be Gleason) but maybe Larose

or just send someone into Marty like others mentioned.

As long as we set the tone early.

that I 100% agree with.

and no more 3-4 penalties in a row in 1st period (or in 2nd or 3rd) please. That kills all momentum.

Comrades, this is your captain. It is an honor to speak to you today, and I'm honored to be sailing with you on the maiden voyage of our motherland's most recent achievement.
And once more, we play our dangerous game, a game of chess, against our old adversary... the New Jersey Devils.
For years, your fathers before you and your older brothers played this game and played it well. But today, the game is different. We have Erik Cole and Paul Maurice... ok so I guess it's not that different.
It reminds me of the heady days of Irbe and Andrei Kovalenk, when the world trembled at the sight of our trap.
Well, they will tremble again at the sight of our failboat.
The order is engage the failboat.

Comrades, our own fans don't know our full potential. They will do everything possible to back us, but they will only test their own voices. We will leave our zone behind. We will pass through the Devils patrols, pass pucks behind their net, and lay into their best players and listen to Brodeur whine while Babchuk conducts missile drills.
Then... And when we are finished, the only sound they will hear is our fanbase rejoicing while we sail back to New Jersey, where the series is 2-2 and the momentum is on our side.
A great day, comrades. We FAIL into history.

Will be adding my noise to the crowd and watching for masts appearing at RBC tonight from 226. See y'all there, and sensing Eaves is on the bubble for making a difference and LaRose will find the net. With either the puck or his body, Im not sure which yet.

Gotta agree with most of the thoughts here... We have got to be more physical if we want to come out of this game on top. That's our way of getting them off their game and helping us get on ours...

And I'm not one for running the goalie by any means. I want to protect them as much if not more than anyone. However, if they give out more bs calls to Marty, I say at least get your freaking two minutes worth of interference in!

I believe the team can do this. I believe the fans can be that extra push to help them over the top. And I believe the monkeys will dance once again like never before...

PS: After the game Sunday night, the Failboat was seen taking off into the open waters heading north. Overheard comment was something about "not having time for those crazy Caniacs and that Canes team anymore".

Physical, 4th line, defence, offence. I don't care. The best thing to do is score more goals. That is all.
Go Canes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
