Not a chance... Boucher is so weak in the defensive zone that we'll be begging for Gill's speed back in the lineup.

I'd rather keep Gill for his presence in front of the net and his PK ability. I actually like his gap control in the neutral zone but unfortunately he's paired w/ Scuds. If they paired him w/ Letang... he could use his speed so Gill could turn and go straight to the net instead of chasing down a puck.

Hal Gill has been fine except for the fact that he is getting beat on his pinches at times.

The thing is, Bylsma's system seems to encourage, or even demand guys to pinch in constantly to keep plays alive. That is one big change I have noticed going from Therrien's system to Bylsma's. Unfortunately the constant pinching means a guy like Hal Gill is trying to pinch a lot too and sometimes he gets burned by it.

I do think he has been generally solid in our end and when he is the guy back instead of pinching. He does worry me with his pinching, though.

Slightly OT but...God, I just want this series to end to get those ****ers out of the playoffs again.

I just meandered over to their board out of curiousity and...Christ...I really have only one way of describing it...

Flyers had their chance to tie it, they dominated the chance department, it's our turn. Pens need to come out flying from the get go, the crowd needs to be loud as hell.

Yesterday i was checking some stuff out, and game 1 of last playoffs (Sens game) was 10000x's louder then Game 1 of these playoffs, i was checking via youtube. The crowd was pretty quiet. The crowd needs to be so loud you cannot hear the announcers. A noise level like that will kill off the Flyers.

I just pulled an unintentional all-nighter by watching youtube videos of prison documentaries. And I have an exam at 9:00 this morning. And for some reason I just decided to do 50 pushups.

What the **** is wrong with me? If the Pens win, I can't say I'm going to be repeating this ritual.

"Interesting" is very diplomatic of you. If there were ever evidence to take +/- with a huge grain of salt, this is it.

Let's hope the Pens tighten things up tonight and rub my nose in the "mentally weak" thread.

And Cole, much as I like the Youtube vids, they're absolute hell on load times for my cruddy old comp. In the future, if you could streamline them from 50,000 to 2 or 3, I'd sure appreciate it.

Nice GDT CP, lets get a big win here I am guessing 4-0. I base my guess of the fact that last year we had the exact same opportunity and won big.

Nice GDT!

Wish I could watch the game. I'm heading down to the University of Alabama tonight for a meeting tomorrow. I'll try to listen on the radio on the way down, haha.

What happened to Carcillo? Luca Sbisa is listed as the fourth-line LW. I assume that's a typo.

We may or may not deserve the 3-1 lead in this series, but it is what it is. Time to play our best game of the series, which means better than Game 1 if possible. This would be the message to send if I were Bylsma. We need to start playing better hockey because we have high aspirations and we can't get to where we need to go playing the way we are.

Also, Fleury deserves an "easier" challenge than Game 4. Let's go out there and play Penguins hockey. Let's get the more favorable match-ups again like the first two games (Crosby vs. Richards; Carter vs. Staal; Malkin vs. Giroux) and let's kick some booty.

I haven't shaved since Game 2, and I will be wearing my Staal home jersey. Let's bring it on home tonight, boys!

I'm going to buy you a new computer because I actually wanted to put more videos in there. Once I started going through some old match ups and some old players... I have about 25 videos which had to be cut to 12ish.

That was my fault on the line combos.. I did game 3 and just brought the same combos over (when Carcillo was suspended). I updated it w/ the lines from the Flyers GDT.

I'm straying off topic here, but ...

Is anyone else sick of hearing hockey players use the words "deserve" and "earn" ... especially when they lose after playing hard?

If you played hard and a talented opponent also played hard, you didn't deserve to win. You competed well and gave yourself a chance; if you don't win, there's no shame in losing that kind of a game.

FYL indeed!

I wore my Penguins jersey to work today. It tells them "No, I'm not staying late".
