I would like to fire gainey(unless he learns from ALL his mistakes this season) but would keep him on if it means we would otherwise get useless vinny. Try to reframe the question, Getzlaf and I might consider it.
was confused about the differece between eeh and arghh...i'm 80/20 (in favour of nope) on the issues, so a small part of me wants Vinny purely cuz i actually think he's that good (worth the salary hit, worth the length of contract). I do, however think that one player does not make it all and in order for Vinny to work here, you need Bob to give him what he needs to get the job done.
No, because there will be dicussions anyway between the Habs and the Bolts. For this kind of trade, where it could help both clubs, Gainey and Lawton have to walk on their ego.
What does one have to do with the other? I would rather have Gainey anyways unless Vinny does not cost an arm and a leg...which is contract currently does so giving up the horses for him just make it ugh.
Anyone who would replace Gainey just to trade for Vinny is thinking short term. I don't want those people making any type of decisions concerning the Habs. If you replace Gainey for other reasons, so be it, but it has to be a good hockey decision not just because you want Vinny. Only a moron would do that.
The only way I want Vinny is if the price is low. I'm not giving up a ton for someone who will handcuff us halfway through his long, long, really long expensive contract.

I'd like you to learn from that mistake, that way i might respect you.
oh yes, fire Gainey, Bring in a Lawton kiss ass to close the deal. Then close the deal get Vinny for cheaper then the Gainey original offer wait till Vinny get off the plane in MTL then Hire back Gainey and Carbo and hold a big press conference with all three just laughing at Lawton.
If we hire the right guy to replace him and not Rejean Houle 2 I'm all for it. Getting Lecavalier to Montreal would be a better move than pretty much everything Bob has done so far combined.
