Wouldn't be surprised to see them looking for teams with better chances to play in the bigs. If they couldn't play with us last year, chances are slim that they'd be playing next year.

Giroux then becomes interesting.
Exactly. We're not really lacking in depth or options for the big team, so his chances of sticking are probably slim. But there's no harm in signing him to a 2-way deal, with the expectation that he's the next Lehoux or Glumac on Hamilton, and a potential injury-recall who could try to force our hand if he does get a callup.

Although he has platooned between the AHL and the SHOW over the past few seasons, I think if given the opportunity with decent players he could be a great free agent sigining.

I think it would take a one-way contract in the 800K range, would you be willing to take the chance?

he looked like a lefty to me
Anyhow, I'm not to familiar with this one. By the highlights, he look ok. 28 year old, well if he only want a one way deal, I would say no. Bad timing some has tough, well if he makes the club, he get NHL money and that about it for me. On a 2way deal, worth a try.

One of our 50 signing spots...I think the max is 50. I would rather try and get Perezhogin back here peronally.

I'd rather go for some non-European, non-french Canadian players for once.

Winning is not the #1 thing. They want to win THEIR way.....even if it means they're handicapping themselves.

All we need is not re-sign other AHLers. He can replace Lehoux for instance.

He could be a late boomer and taking a chance with him is a good idea IMHO.

Maybe you should root for a non-french Canadian-rooted organisation.

I have a feeling that I'm losing my time but how many non-European, non-french Canadian players do you need on the team in Hamilton, Montreal?
