There is a posting on the nucks board saying

Yesterday on sunday the disk jockey at 98.3 Power FM in Phoenix proceeded to make fun of Taylor Pyatts fiancee’s death. Saying she was "probably off in Jamaica to get a few last flings before she married some boring ass hockey player for the rest of her life and just made a u-turn and died instead"

I know few of this board live in Phoenix and just curious if this was what was said

here is the vancouver boards discussion

Why would a second tier hip-hop station even talk about this? Nothing in the local press about.

If someone did, it probably just someone being very very stupid.

I wouldn't know. I don't listen to that station. And, I don't think too many other people do. I think I've only heard of it one other time.

He should be fired. It's completely idiotic to say something like that.

I have found that, with very few exceptions, DJs at supposedly "cutting-edge" music stations are total asshat d-bags. So while it sickens me that someone would say that, I could see it happening.

That is exactly what that station is. If there is a ****** out there that would say this, it would probably be them. With that said, I would be surprised if that station covered anything remotely close to hockey, let alone insult someone like that. They usually just talk about drink specials at certain clubs on the weekend.

It's true. She was involved in an accident while on vacation in Jamaica with friends. it was carried on the Canadian media.

He was from 98.3 Power FM.

No further explanation required.

I can't imagine anyone on 98.3 mentioning this story let alone making a horrible remark like that. Not because of their ethics (radio station DJ ethics...now that is funny!!) but because it's hockey. Hardly any station mentions anything hockey related here, much less 98.3!
