The Avs know. They are 0-4-0-0 vs the NE :p

Conversely the Leafs like the NW with their 6-1-0-1 record

The Gratton trade hasn't worked out to well yet, but I would say the Barnaby one has. He has 2 goals, 3 assists and 2 game winners in 6 games with the Avs. Lately he seems to be the only one willing to give all he has to give us the win. I like that trade and if Granato wasn't so dumb he would have realized that the Konowalchuk- Gratton - Barnaby line was our best line for a couple games there and that breaking them up won't help a darn thing!

The problem is those hockey players don't have respect for Granato. Neither do the coaches in the NHL. Why? because he hasn't paid his dues in the minor league. He hasn't taken a crapy team and improved it.

Granato is like a spoiled kid that has been given a brand new car and he expects it to stay shiny and new without any work. The avs have an abundance of talent and with that comes egos. You need an experience coach who knows how to handle those egos and use that to maximize their skills and talents. Anyone can make up lines and put them on the ice like Granato, but that's the same model the rangers use and look what they have become.

You want coaches that garner respect from taking a crappy team and putting it on the map. Look at the Coach sutter of calgary. He brought san jose into playoff contention and is doing the same for calgary.

What has Granato done and how in hells name did he get the avs job? Does he have any real coaching experience?

Considering Forsberg's current fragility, I would say that doesn't bode well for their cup hopes this season.
It's crazy how much a team can use the best player in the league as a crutch eh?

No team could play at a high level missing a guy like him. No team. There's not enough depth in the entire league to cover that loss.
