Steve's All-time Flyers Roster

I decided to compile a roster of who I saw as the best Flyers, placing them by position....so it includes the 4 best players at each forward positions, 6 best defensemen, and 3 best goaltenders.

Bill Barber - Bobby Clarke - Reggie Leach
Dave Schulz - Rick MacLeish - Rick Tocchet
John LeClair - Eric Lindros - Gary Dornhoefer
Brian Propp - Tim Kerr - Mark Recchi

Mark Howe - Barry Ashbee
Eric Desjardins - Jimmy Watson
Joe Watson - Ed Van Impe

Bernie Parent
Ron Hextall
Pelle Lindbergh

How accurate would you consider this to be? Would you make any changes to the roster?

well, it looks good but I would definitely put Lindbergh ahead of Hextall.

First line is ok.

Second line: Dave Schultz? Uh, no!
Tim Kerr was a RW not a center.
I'd have Recchi and Kerr before Tocchet and Dornhoefer. Order of the two is immaterial. Both have their place in Flyers history. Both hold Flyers records.
Propp needs to be up there in place of Schultz. Then maybe Murray Craven 4th. There haven't been a lot of standout LWers for the Flyers.
I'd put Brind'Amour or Poulin where you have Kerr.
I'd keep Lindbergh where you have him, not ahead of Hextall. Pelle just didn't play long enough to go second. Not even sure I'd have him 3rd. Hextall took the team to the finals and won the Conn Smythe.

Regardless of the love-hate relationship and this town, I think Eric Desjardins has to be on the list

So this is basically how you would re-organize the forwards?

Bill Barber - Bobby Clarke - Reggie Leach
Brian Propp - Rick MacLeish - Tim Kerr
John LeClair - Eric Lindros - Mark Recchi
Dave Schultz - Dave Poulin - Rick Tocchet

I forgot to change the centers:

Bill Barber - Bobby Clarke - Reggie Leach
Brian Propp - Eric Lindros - Tim Kerr/Mark Recchi
John LeClair - Rick MacLeish - Mark Recchi/Tim Kerr
Murray Craven - Dave Poulin - Rick Tocchet

Lindros was a better all around center than MacLeish and deserves to be higher on the list no matter how I or anyone feels about him personally.

All-time team -- putting the players as who I would play them with, not necessarily 1st, 2nd or 3rd line centers/wingers etc.

Barber - Clarke - Leach
LeClair - Lindros - Recchi
Propp - MacLeish - Tocchet
Brind'amour - Poulin - Kerr

Howe - McCrimmon
Jim Watson - Desjardins
Ashbee - Johnsson

Parent
Lindbergh

Moose Dupont has to be the 7th dman simply for the sake of the press.
