Depends on the extent of the fight but most times yes. If the gloves stay on then I think it's just 5 each. If someone drops em then it's an automatic game.
I'm #19 on the Californians and I'm coming to kick your ass.
nah, I just happened to read the incident report. Sounds like a rough game.
BRING IT!!! I spoke to him after I got bandaged up and things are cool. 99.9% of the time I leave it on the ice. It's just not worth it. However, I gues he had a frined in Stanley's who thought otherwise. He came out to the bleachers and wanted to kill me. We were both playing hard and he got in a little love tap with his stick while I was skating. So, basically enough was enough It was a good scrap though. I let my temper get the better of me though - I don't like scrapping anymore, it hurts too much - hahaha
You playing on Super Bowl night? I am not going to otherwise I would be playing you.
Well - I am going to miss this game for a number of reason.... I am suspended for 1 game that has to be served with ACME, having 5 stitches in my arm and there is no way I am playing during Super Bowl
I will make sure to be out there the next time we play though - hahaha

What team do you play for?
Yeah, definitely not worth it to fight when you are paying to play. Leagues are too expensive for that. I've ever only been in a few scraps and all of those times it was the other guy that was the aggressor.

I play on the Bandits in 2C.
I play hard and sometimes the other guy takes it as aggression. I would never take a cheap shot or intentially hurt someone. I will however stick up for myself or any of my team mates.
I was curious to know if there are any SIAHL teams (EEEE) that have some opens spots on their team? I have never played hockey, but am eager to join a league. Please send me a PM if you have an open spot.

Rosters are closed until Summer Season begins in April.
Yeah, for the most part the levels from D and down games do tend to pose small schedule problems. This is due to many various reasons: players like to fight more, refs are "new" or the lower rated ones just to name a few. Once you make it up in the levels you'll probably find that the games are usually more on time.

I played in the C's and there were just as many fights as ther are in the D's (none I was in). I would say a bigger reason for the delays is the D's are usually on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Weekend games are more likely to run late due to tournaments and other events.

True about the days playing a role but the biggest reason I've encountered is the refs. I was mostly referring the fights to A/B levels as apposed to DDD-EEEE.
Anyways, I'm almost back on the ice. I'm looking to sub on a team in the lower divisions (D-EEEE) to get my hockey legs back and condition. If any of you guys have an opening please PM. I normally play in B-C.

Thanks, at my age I'm not headed up unfortunately. I'm kind of in that spot where I'm not fast enough for the upper levels any more but with too much experience to enjoy the lower levels.
So the new season has started (non-preseason games at least).
Whats new with my fellow SIAHL and other Adult Hockey League players?
I ended last season with a bang. All the sudden I was scoring goals left and right, with two consecutive hat tricks in the playoffs! Best hockey of my "career"!
Unfortunately though, I was recently the victim of an assault by some **** and was kicked in the head while I was down and knocked out and broke my jaw. Thankfully that's the worst of it (so far at least). No concussion, brain damage, and obviously I didn't get killed, but the manner in which I was kicked (think punted), it could have been A LOT worse. I'm happy I'm alive.
I'm out for 6 weeks, but hope to return to skating in the next week. I can't wait to get back to playing. I think my game will have to change for the first few weeks I'm playing. I tend to play a fast, gritty game and love playing the body (not dirty mind you).
