And a Corey Crawford sighting (on the bench)

Any update on Havlat? (not that there is much that can be said so quickly and there is an obvious assumption on my part watching the replays that at a minimum, he has a concussion)

No update from what I've heard but I tend not to listen during intermission.

Thanks. I had the game on mute while watching the Bears game so only have had PBP and video for the third.

This is OT, but the Jack Johnson and his dad stuff is pretty entertaining....You Don't Know Jack and the Kings beat writer Rich Hammond As the (Johnson) world turns

I only know jack johnson's dad from the ice and lockerroom. He's typically reserved and doesn't draw attention to himself or mention who he is. However he's dressed in wolverine and team usa gear so maybe that's a subtle way to draw attention.

He does get a little ornry when other players act like **** but seems a straight shooter. I'm kind of surprised by the responses more than his letter which seemed rather believeable and consistent with the little things he's said at the rink when asked.

On topic I hate this ******* league sometimes. What a great freaking hit by kronwall. idiot players need to be responsible for themselves on the ice. Havlat tried to take the puck in stride and attack. If he just gets it and curls he's still playing.

I'd also add that the letter is addressed from ann arbor. Not sure how authentic that letter would be as its my understanding they don't live there.

I may be wrong in this case, but I assumed The Hockey News having it up for a day meant it was from him, but that may be a bad assumption on my part. FWIW, I thought they still had a residence in MI.

The rest of it from my perspective is all second-hand stories, etc., again, just entertaining/amusing watching this all play out from the draft until now...

back to hockey

Hawks make this a series...Sharp with the GWG, these quick OT endings are good and bad as a viewer, lol.

Watching the clip of the hit again, something I didn't mention earlier, but still bothered by the pile-up and pushing and shoving on top of Havlat while he is down, just something that often annoys me when a player goes down and the players form a scrum like in this case.

Yea I had a lot of problems with that entire sequence from the call, to bufluygen not getting more, to everyone forgetting about the glass eyed havlat.

Damn linemans skate kept tapping on havlats head.

For as much of an albatross as the Nylander contract is for GMGM, how do you think folks in Chicago feel about Huet?

This is one of the worst games I've ever watched. Too many stupid penalties, lopsided scoring, a lot of icing calls, it's just not fun to watch at all.

20 second kill by helm 1 on 4 and nearly scores was one of the best individual efforts I've seen in a long, long time.

Sucks that I can't imagine 1 cap who could do that. Maybe backstrom if he gets some speed/quickness.

nothing wrong with adding to his playoff goal total before he scores his first goal in a regular season game

Back 2 back opening in det on sat and sun. Sucks but whatever we need to do to help pitt as this hurts the older Wings and marginalizes a home game.

Sincerely,

The league

I've seen Brooksy almost do that a couple of times.

I haven't watched too many Wings games...maybe pieces of a quarter of them...but every time, I seem to hear Helm's name an inordinate amount. That guy's a keeper.
