I said meh Yogi. This wasn't a competition. Mine's just a lame healthy burger.

And never had the onion rings.

If I go to Whistler in the next couple weeks I'll give it a try.

Its not in Vancouver, but if you guys are ever in Penticton I would strongly recommend Burger 55.

www.burger55.com

The have pre selected burgers, but what I love is you get the clip board and get to make your own creations.

Last time I was there my burgers was

Beef
55 Bun
Jalapeno Havarti
55 Buddah Sauce
Peanut Butter
Roasted Garlic
Roasted Corn
Lettuce
Fried Egg

It came out as a nice breakfast thai tasting burger. ( I was there at 11 AM)

Maybe it should be! Best sounding burger has to throw a BBQ for other HFers

Fatburger is so overrated imo. So many other better places.

Sounds delish, have you tried using a fattier cut instead of sirloin? While sirloin is delicious, 20% fat is apparently the optimum amount of fat for a patty, not sure which cut would be good considering good quality ground chuck isn't easy to find.

You'd need the cut from the shoulder and neck.

I don't think its called chuck here in Canada. I think its a different name. I'm not sure about that.

I only know one place in Granville market, but its so ****ing pricy.

Anyone know where to get it?

I've always used Sirloin, a nice lean burger for sure but it doesn't bind very well (so a couple eggs and italian bread crumbs are necessary). I will definitely try a fattier cut next time, thanks!

Yesterday I went to the Five Guys at Park Royal in West Vancouver.
****ing. Amazing.
Got a bacon cheeseburger (two patties) with a bunch of toppings, a large fries, and a regular drink (with free refills).

The burger was easily the best fast food burger I've ever had, and will likely be the best one I will ever have. Flat out spectacular.

The large fries I split with a friend. There were enough fries in the bag to re-fill the container, so it's like they gave us two orders of large fries.
They were made fresh, crispy, nicely salted, tasted good.

The drink was wet. Free refills was nice.

I like their spicy fries. When i first went. Prob the best fries I've had at a fast food place.

But the burger I didn't really like.. need to go again though just to make a better call.

I went to a Jack-in-the-Box yesterday because I'd never had it before. It's TERRIBLE. Just a run of the mill fast food burger where the bun and patty taste the same..

I will be going to the Michael J Fox Theatre for three days starting September 4th. Any good burger places nearby? It's near Royal Oak Ave and Rumble St.

Not really. From what I can recall, there's a Triple O's up on Kingsway and across from it is a Wendy's.

so untried five guys again. And I left with the same disappointment I had the first time around. It's really nothing special. I guess for fast food it is good, but I can make it 10 times better at home.

For some reason all the good Burger chains in USA like Five Guys, Fatburger etc. suck in Canada. Or are at least worse.

Agreed, burgers and fries are better in the States, but when you can find a poutine, they can't make it at all.

Also, this is off topic but I don't like Red Lobster, there I said it. Their food tastes like cheap seafood fried by an amateur with little or no taste. I don't know why everyone makes such a big deal about them.
