It's rematch time...

How much of an edge can Detroit's "active boards" provide?

Got to hand it to the Wings for winning the series with so many injuries.. They can be beat though, the Ducks won three and the Hawks tied three in regulation. We are the only ones couldn't pull out a regulation tie or win.

I think Pittsburgh wins the Cup, they have experience albeit youthful in many cases.

I don't like being too mystical, but they also seem to have a strong sense of destiny on their side. The Wings, on the other hand, are filled with guys who've already won the Cup. As a star player searching for his Cup (amazing how a misplaced lowercase c would make all the difference there), Hossa needs to come up big, in my opinion--especially if the Wings continue to have so many injured players. The good news is Osgood seems like he has something to prove (not because he does, but because some think he does, and he knows it).

Or, in practical terms, it would only be natural for Pittsburgh to have more motivation to win, and Hossa might very well need to show he has that same motivation if the Wings are to win their second Cup in two seasons.

Osgood is playing lights out, I agree, he has something to prove.

I found it interesting when I heard the Pen players embraced the conference trophy after defeating Carolina. A long time jinx was overruled, the players said they did not touch that trophy last year and where beat by the wings. This time they touched it..

Osgood and the Wings did not touch theirs, they said they did not touch it last year and won so they did the same this year.

I think the Eastern Conference trophy will pay back the love of the Penguin players-Pittsburgh is going to crush Detroit...

Hill folk are the folk who live in the hills. Ever been to Western Pennsylvania? It's nothing but hills. Up, down. Up, down. It's uncivilized, really. But, luckily, I'm on summer break, so I'm hiding in Columbus for the time being. Just got in today.

I'm debating whether or not to watch the Finals. There's the part of me that loathes both teams, but there's also a part of me that just loves hockey...

Real NHL fans watch the playoffs until the end...regardless of homer teams. We want the Wed Rings to get get their mules beat.

btw HF board, azz is not vulgar...it's a name of an animal!

The Real Fans™ shtick doesn't work on me. You know I'll end up watching anyway, but I don't have to like it.

I are hill folk. The North ones, specifically. I make no apologies. Someday I hope to be as unbearable about the Jackets winning the Cup as I will be if the Pens win.

Half the posters on this board are merely manifestations of a single person's multiple personalities, myself and DSL included.

Never thought I'd find myself rooting for the Pens - I didn' root for them against the Wings last season. I disliked both teams.

But damn, I hate the Wings now with a passion.

Wow. The refs are really letting them play right now. Wanna bet we see 73 penalties in the second?

And then Crosby with a big hit on Zetterberg. But Hossa getting knocked around draws my applause.

So whats the first stupid penalty are they going to call first tonight? I mean, I know its the playoffs, but good god, there's been at least 5 blatant penalties that didnt get called....but they're going to call one eventually. With all their letting go, it will be a flip of a the stick that will be call hooking. It gets stupid when they just let guys roll around tripping over each other, they do it cause they dont call it, it ridiculous.
