We cant deny that we caught a break when Ovi got cough high sticked. I have to say, its nice to finally see our players deceiving the dumb noob ref's and getting us power plays. If one team works the refs and the other doesnt, it can be a distinct factor in a series. Avery worked it but it dried up for him. The new fleet of refs are dumber than ever. Its not rocket science, they guess. I will admit its not easy to see what happens at full speed. Work it.

so no recalls from Hershey or WBS at this point so sounds like if Letang can't play/gametime decision, Boucher gets a jersey and Nylander for Fehr as others have noted.

Go Caps!

Word is that Letang is gonna try to tough it out with a shoulder sprain. Personally, I think that's a bad call, but I'm not the Pens medical staff...

I'll gladly take a broken Letang (he could easily be knocked out of the game) taking the Pens to 5 dmen, or an ancient Boucher.

Go Caps!

Dump, chase, hit, cycle, crash the net.

Rinse, repeat.

Use your size, and wear them down.

A good "road" game will go a long way tfor the rest of the series.

No one is going to "nail" Kuntiz.

Im taking Ovie. And I expect him to do it repeatedly. Not to the point where he takes himself out of the game (like in the first Pens/Caps game of the regular season), but any chance that he gets within the flow of the game, Im absolutely certain that he'll take it.

+1

we need to bear down and play a brutally simple road game, get out with the win. i expect the league has a secret memo out there to ensure the Pens get 6+ powerplays so the PK is gonna be huge tonite.

Same thing.

The Caps are not...and really shouldn't...be worried about exacting revenge against Kuntiz. He's nothing. Secure the series....then have Nylander two hand him in the neck or something. I mean...hit him hard if the hit is there...but don't take yourself out of position to do something.

Don't go out there tonight with the emotions running the show. Focus on winning the game.

Agreed. Every ounce of focus should be on coming out and playing a crisp first 10 minutes. Scoring would be lovely, but I'm more worried about just executing a solid puck possession game and lulling the crowd out of what stands to be a frenzy.

All those fans will be very excited to display those white shirts they are being given so that they can rival our natural red-outs.

Oh I agree with you 100%, but I do think that he and Ovie's paths will cross at some point tonight. And when they do, I expect Mr. Kunitz to get the worst of the encounter(s).

Ok the odds are on the next player to hit kunitz anytime going forward. Not extract revenge, you cant go out of your way anymore in this league. I hope for Simeon's sake, its tonight. We will see. I think Ovi will be the first to hit him (and any opponent, naturally).

I'll set a different set of odds:

Varly - stick to the back of Sid's knees - 3:1
Varly crosscheck on Sid - 5:1
Any Cap - crosscheck on MAF - 10:1
